Fellow northern Michigan bloke?

On a Specialized I picked up today. Sadly I read this shop just closed last year after almost 30 years.

H. C. Strudwick built their own cycles, but this is a Holdsworth-built Grubb:

In this case, the bike shop was also the builder. Bikes used to be built in the basement to be sold upstairs in the London shop. Somehow, this one found its way to Alabama, before I brought it home with me to Ohio. F.W. Evans died in 1944, but his shop survived and Evans Cycles is still in business today.

REW Reynolds built their own frames (and bought some in), but this is a Holdsworth-built Freddie Grubb that was sold at their shop in Northampton.
