These days I plan my longer ride around available hydration. Velo Vol would not approve :innocent:

The warning sign is not a confidence booster. You sure it’s ok to drink?

It’s scorching out.

As we get older it’s just too hazardous to keep cleared in the winter. So I dragged out the self leveling laser and the tape rule and calculated the driveway to have a grade of 25%. Needles to say I’ve never attempted to ride up there even though it’s only about 50’ long. #kneebuster

Sounds like you need an awesome shovel.

How 'bout those Brewers?!!!!!

The last Spring training game we saw was the Brewers and I'd managed to snag some seats up front so I got to say "Must be in the front row!"

Storm blowing in from the South. Longsleeves on.

seedsbelize 07-25-20 02:40 PM

We continue to have a coolish, rainy summer. Daily rain is "the norm", or used to be. Hasn't been so in the twelve years we've lived here. Such a treat to have a storm blow through every afternoon. It doesn't always rain, but it does always cool down. And it cools down from being not very hot in the first place. Thus the longsleeves.

Not super hot here, but monsoon season is here, so more humid than normal.

Fairly sultry weather for the morning ride. I brought 3 litres of water on my back.

Another day, another OMG Trek on the bookface.

Cool pic. Almost looks like a movie set with a painted background.

Up. Winter fun, and that's with 4WD.

You gotta have a sense of humor in the winter here.

Man that's a lot to unpack there.

650b(?) IGH conversion with handlebars to that would make Grant Peterson happy.

AG is once again making noise about gravel bikes.

:bday:

She doesn't really grasp why her SystemSix isn't suitable.

When we lived in Ohio, we lived at the end of a quarter mile of township road just like this. One time I just managed to crest it, in 4wd, with the front wheels, only to slide backward and, thankfully off to the side. A Chevy pickup. Light in the back end.
Yeah, time for you to move.

How is the braking??

Hopefully it keeps the unwashed mass away. Many people who drank this water have died, I have not died yet, but I will some day. :D
I have drank it for years, and know people who's family have drank it for generations, it tasty, and freezing cold.
The water is safe, the sign is a liability thing, all the springs in the area have similar signs.

If it can't accept 3" tyres, then it's no good :)

https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...d92a10cf15.jpg

OK, maybe 3.0" is overkill.

I have the Light Bicycle pads, and they were less than stellar to start with, but now will lock the wheel if I pull hard enough. The pads transferred a little to the rim and the braking improved exponentially.
