Not at all!

I'm currently at 768. If I can convince the family to let me have all of Wed to myself, I might be able to do it, but it would be a really long day and I'd likely still need some overtime on my "off" days, which are normally 18mi each.

I went to the Sunday club ride again today. There were about 6 other riders, all hammerheads and one new guy who was looking for the orientation ride that's on our schedule, but nobody was there to run it. Turns out he just got his bike on Thursday. I felt bad for him before we even started. We began with a slight uphill grade and one of the guys dropped back and rode with him for a few minutes and said he was suffering during our warm up. By the time our guy came up to tell us the guy was struggling, he was gone, out of sight. I felt bad for him again, like, what a bunch of dicks we are. I hope it wasn't too discouraging for him.

He is new, its bound to happen. Wont be the first and wont be the last. Hopefully he keeps up with it. I got dropped my first group ride.

I'm sitting right at 160 for the month. Nowhere to go bit up.

It's a shame the people who run the beginner ride weren't there. They will watch out for beginners and stay with them. I don't know when they will be back.

The important mail should be labeled as such.

I only get a few pieces of mail a day, so it's easy for me to sort out the important correspondence.

That's called an epiphany. It's never too late for one of those. ;)

They should have a leaderboard for altitude. I could win that one pretty much every week.

What about altitude at altitude? I might be able to pull that one off. Breathing isn't quite as good at 9000 feet.

ANOTHER awesome shovel

I had one years ago. I was riding on gravel and the light bulb lit up and I thought, "This is dumb."

I don't know who or what you are talking about, but sadly the United States (or at least this state) is not stuck in DST. I wish it were!

Clearly, you have not read LoPs post that was quoted in the first post youve quoted.

No, but the original awesome shovel isn't a very good musical instrument. But neither is the Fluglehorn.

Oh, ha - I don't know if I mentioned it, but we're a group in Turkey because I set the location as the town closest to 41 lat and 41 lng

Is an actual 41er riding the 3 Peaks Bike Race?

I *know* that I've seen some BF kit (yeah, I said it :D) and I'm pretty sure that I've seen some 41 kit, but it's been a while and I can't remember how I stumbled across it...

Oh, I figured it was because we were a bunch of turkeys.

Awww, man - LAJ's a sandbagger! Ya got one more ride to knock me off the perch?

Nossir. You did well.

Today was pretty hard. Last week, the like ride was 1.5 hours of Z1. This one was about half an hour. That's a lot of pedaling. (peddling)

All this musical instrument heat is over my head. Must be like if WhyFi and I got into roast mode with each other over knife steels.

Were you on 23mm tires?

WhyFi 07-26-20 06:18 PM

Welp, 1k isn't happening this month. I checked the family calendar and we've got timed entry tickets for the zoo on Wed, they've finally re-opened and the kids have been champing at the bit, so I'm not gettin' out of that one.
