Unfortunately this 19th century palace of mine didn't come with a garage, that was pre-automobile, wasn't it?

Certainly in a practical sense.

Then I remembered my second winter in Ithaca, with my MGB, after the heater core broke, so I had to run it a couple months with no heat. That was a whole lot of no fun.

And this reminds me of my trip to Costco on Tuesday. Parked across from me and offset by one space, was a large, bright red Waggoneer-looking thing, idling away with nobody in it. Maybe there was a pet inside, or maybe they just wanted a cool space to return to.

Tree trimming from the ladder done. By the feel of the body, after such seemingly light work, one might get the impression that I am an old(er) man.

Pretty much. The automobile was invented in the 19th Century, but for example the Model T Ford was not introduced till about 1908.

Old(er) men should avoid going up ladders. Trust me on this one.

One time in the mountains it rained and froze and my Tercel was encased in ice. I couldn't get the door open but was able to pry the tailgate loose and crawl in that way.
Once in the driver seat I was able to slam my shoulder into the door and break the ice.

Another time the rain froze inside the outside mirror and cracked the glass on the Subaru.

Always had working heaters in the 5 cars we had up there.

Kind of a cringe moment in band the other day. Percussion guy on the drumset got called out by the director because he was coming in on a riff a beat or more early during a transition.

It took him four or five times repeating that one measure before he got it right. If I, who can't count, am thinking "Come on, man, it's on 4" you know it's pretty bad.

Mojo31 your skilz are needed. Now's the time to move to Knox County for better music, sports, etc.

I can count to 4 but I can't riff.

So, we should avoid toilet paper and ladders? What if somebody TP's your house? Do you have to hire somebody to get rid of it?

Dolphins and a whale! Tres cool!

Went to download the Lego Skywalker Saga and discovered that the reason I hadn't been able to hit the Xbox Store is that the wifi card died. Suppose now is as good a time as any to get a Series X, since it's available from MS directly with just a 3-month GamePass, so more normally than it's been. Annoying though. Problem of getting one of the first ones made I suppose.

I have a patient who I have tentatively diagnosed with an unusual form of autoimmune liver disease.

I called my GI colleague and was told it's an 8 week wait to get a new patient office visit with them. But "only" 3 weeks to get in with the noctor who I believe knows less than me about such conditions.

Sigh.

But where does said doctors knowledge stack up to Velo Vol's?

Oh and the dishwasher door rebroke less than a week after repair. They're coming back Monday. Shoot me now.

My cycling friend has a McLaren that looks quite similar to the orange one on the left in the first picture. He is away for a few months and did not take up my offer to babysit his cars/bikes. Sad!

Ooh, you can also see a little bit of F-Type ass behind that white econobox.

I came home and cracked open a beer in preparation for edging the lawns but I dunno, I might just drink this beer while doing nothing.

But, the experience costs about $100/lap plus the cost of a trip to Vegas.
