37 miles before the snow dropped.

rsbob 11-13-22 03:13 PM

29.92 flat miles at an easy 15 MPH. Nice but boring. Today I’m taking care of gardens for winter.

mschwett 11-13-22 04:44 PM

77 miles, 4,000’. beautiful clear winter-ish day.

jaxgtr 11-13-22 05:28 PM

Did 78 on Saturday, got most in before the wind picked up, so that was good.

diphthong 11-14-22 07:02 PM

easy 24-spot for the first miles in over three weeks.

rsbob 11-14-22 09:01 PM

41 miles, with 1100’ upwardness. Mid to low 40s…. Still warming up after an average speed of 17 MPH

Well I did go to the University of Oregon, so that should be quite easy. Quack!

SpeedyBlueBiker 11-17-22 08:24 PM

I took out my "rain" bike and rode 26 miles today on the Sammamish River Trail. Sunny and 52 dropping to about 46 when I got home around 4:00pm. Took off my sunglasses and it was much lighter out.

rsbob 11-17-22 10:07 PM

Did my second group ride at my ideal pace. Hung with about 10 others, mostly Canadians, for the hour. Will start doing the Thursday ride regularly starting in Dec.

Did a 20.02 mile group ride with me, myself and I this morning starting at 1:20AM. Super cohesive group. :D

Can’t go wrong riding with the “Royal We”. But at 1:20AM? We need to talk. ;)

rsbob 11-19-22 12:25 AM

Started a new performance builder app today called Pillar per another poster’s recommendation. I took my Strava, Zwift and Garmin data for the last month, analyzed it and said today is a rest day. Who was I to argue with the almighty AI? In fact it said, my performance was negative since I have been pushing it. Can only go up from here.

Don't think any amount of TALKING is gonna help cause I was out voted by me and myself and WE went out at 1AM this morning for 23.32 windy miles.

AI might be pseudo-smart but it wasn’t smart enough to know that I cannot tolerate a 2 hour stretch at a time day after day on a trainer. My bum would never recover. An hour to 1.5 is my limit. We’ll see what the HELP facility provides since I cannot change it myself. Stay tuned. And another rest day. Maybe I will make it from negative numbers to a big zero on the fitness scale today.

biker128pedal 11-19-22 02:19 PM

A warm 46 F. Nice and sunny. Road 28 easy road miles.

idk if it'll be a helpful suggestion, butt when i am stuck using the trainer, I'll wear the way too thick padded cycling jhorts.for those longer cycling times. I dont wear them out on the road, doesn't pair well with my cheeks.

Yeah, my posterior node does not appreciate hour long rides on the trainer. Been through 5 saddles and bought a couple of pairs of recommended shorts, butt no love. Have to stand up from time to time for a bit of relief. Appreciate the tip - just need to find those ultra padded shorts.

Now for How Fur….. 26 verrrrrrry slow miles keeping the HR under 110. Rather boring but it is a ‘rest day’.

ZIPP2001 11-19-22 08:47 PM

Nice crisp 35 degrees and 23 miles out in the woods, waiting for some snow.

Getting into group riding, so have stripped all the superfluous stuff off my bike (rack, fenders, trunk bag, headlights, kickstand) for a savings of nearly 4kg (15kg down to just over 11kg) so I can go faster. Bike definitely felt quicker today.

Fully agreed on this. I was stuck on my trainer for several weeks during lockdown earlier this year and I hated it. I've pretty much had all the trainer riding I'll need for a lifetime by this point. I'll ride in the rain before I ride on the trainer, to be honest.
