never heard of it, out of 175 crank arms too.

madone and ritchey 175, cervelo is 172.5.

I have a chance to buy a stages gen 3 105 left arm, but I didn’t even think about asking the arm size…… doh!

Might be entertaining to watch you ride that, though - 167.5 on the NDS, 175 on the DS.

Well so that’s the pickle. I mean the groupset on it works fine. So I could just do the UNO pedal route, but I do hate the hoods that the old 9 speed ultegra has, and I know at some point I will want to change.
But if changing requires me to get a new wheel set too then that’s more than I want to commit too right now. Where’s velo when I need some wisdom.

Pedal might just be the best option. Maybe put micro shift hoods on it?

If that’s what it takes.

I like the UltraSports, but they have no flat protection. None.

Any thoughts on the Conti Grand prix 4 season tires? Can’t find a good deal on GP5000 so I’m considering these for the ritchey.

GP4S appears to be one of the better options for a relatively high performing tire with decent durability and puncture resistance

I purchased a set of 32's for a hybrid I ride on pavement / road - but have not installed them yet

Would like to know the answer to this.

Also curious to see options for Sora 9 spd upgrade

Sunday was NBD - got a Topstone at a flea market

I believe it is a Topstone 3 - has Sora components and mechanical disk brakes (that barely slow the bike lol)

FWIW many folks around here retire to Sussex county, Delaware. Cost of living and taxes are low, medical infrastructure is decent, no sales tax. It’s way too flat for a serious climber but the roads are of good quality.

Sussex County has grown without control. What used to be great back roads are now loaded with traffic. I've stopped riding the roads since too many people I know have been hit. Trails only for me now.

Good point. My info is from my experience when we used to go there for summer vacation 10-15 years ago. I would hook up with a few riders from the local cycling club and ride with them, back then the roads (other than the main ones) were quiet. My favorite cafe stop was in Milton, not sure if the cafe is still there. Lovely and quiet, at least 10 years ago it was.

Starting early again and probably only doing about 40 miles. It might cool off a little next week.

First ride since last week's spill. Bike felt great after the TLC and it was back to being silent, which is always so satisfying after a month of looking for the causes of the cricks and the ticks.
