I'm happy to report I made it up the local hill tonight in 39x23, and didn't even puke.

No, that makes sense. We started out before Standard Time with Noon being whenever the sun was directly over head where you were so "Noon" would not be at the same instant across any city of reasonable size.. It was hard enough to get people to agree to it being "noon" at the same time across ~900 miles.

Why is it still dark out?

You should tweet about it.
Shouldn't Taco Day be on Tuesday, though? |

I woke up "late" at 7am, too, being tired from yesterday.
Also woke with a sore shoulder from a tumble yesterday. No, not while riding, but while playing soccer with my kids afterwords. At least I didn't break my collarbone - that might have been ironic, but I'd have to refer to Alanis to be sure. |

Oh, and as is tradition, when my family heads out to the WI side of Lake Pepin, we picked up a whole pie at a particular small town (population 66) while we were out there. It was a 'bumbleberry' pie this time, with all of a bear's favorites: blueberry, blackberry, raspberry and strawberry.

Ha! With that multi-quote error, it almost looks like you're disapproving of the keen cycling in my gif!

So there is a cycling guy I ride with occasonally and he was on the Savage Century. A few of us were talking gearing, so I asked him what his bailout gear was.
His answer: "I don't know." I asked what his small chainring up front was. Again, he had no idea. Is that normal?!? |

Speaking of bailouts - I like the 32/34 on my Revolt, but there are plenty of roads here that exceed 12% for short periods. The 36/30 on the R3 also gets tons of use.
