Some guy who worked at a small airport stole a plane and threatened to crash into a Wal Mart. They talked him out of it but he didn't know how to land so some pilots walked him through it on his cell phone and he landed in a field.

In other news, whyfi showed chauffeured me around Minnie, and I have to say I am super impressed. Fish tacos were better than anything back home, and the bike shop actually had taste. If it wasnít for the lack of humidity I would consider moving here.

The bike shop had an Allied Echo in my size! I actually got to touch it. If I wasnít in my uniform I would have asked to ride it, not that the uniform really stopped me. More of the fact I would prolly crash, and I am sure they have a break if you buy it policy.
And donít even make me bring up the Moots.

Don't list the house until I show you around in January.

They were fast enough to win a sprint (barely) against an angry farm dog.

I'll have to look when I get home but I think I have a couple pairs of those. I started out very pleased but the rolling resistance went up as they wore in. They aren't horrible, but the assometer don't lie.

Hey, I just posted this in the mechanics forum. Anyone here have ideas?

I have standard, modern, Shimano "cups" threaded into a titanium shell on my commuting bike. All parts are relatively new. Since installation, the BB has gotten creaky every few months and responded to torquing back to spec, but no longer. I tried a heavy application of blue thread locker and then about three wraps of PTFE tape (cups still screwed in easily) when that didn't work. The tape helped, but didn't fix it.

What should I try now, more tape? Is there anything else?

. Make sure it's not a bearing moving around in the threaded shell. It's not uncommon for them to need service. I used to disassemble, clean, regrease,, and reassemble 3 times a year when I had Shimano.
If you want an assembly prep, you might want more of a gap filler than a thread locker. I used (I think) 709 on my 09 Tarmac b.b. bearings in 2017 and they are still there, never make noises. It's a bb30 and I could pull the bearings out of with my fingers.

Good info. Thanks
I ride Gatorskins atm. Much more expensive.

Any pointers on the Epley maneuvers? My ear infection is gone but not the vertigo. I was given instructions on the Epley maneuvers and after 1 round no dice. I assume keep doing it until it works. TIA.

Yeah, that could be it. Might respond to disassembly-reassembly too. If it ainít fixed now itís a new BB.

Not even for Minneapolis? Seems like it would be necessary.

That's what they say. Keep doing it til it works. It has been years for me, but it worked well. Maybe slow it down a little.
You sir, are due for some good news. I hope it's sooner than later.

Accidentally squeezed the pool acid jug after opening it and caught a pretty good whiff. Might be time to get a pool guy :)

Flying between Rockford IL and Quincy IL (where my extended family lives), the route takes you over Manlius, IL. Located next to the town is a single wind turbine.

I'm sure by now everyone is tired of me pointing out "the Manlius windmill in IL"

My grandparents lived in Manlius, IL for many years. My dad went to Manlius HS. There was not a windmill present at the time.
