Beautiful!

RNAV 04-29-22 07:18 PM

That looks great! Please post pics once you've got it built.

cxwrench 04-29-22 09:25 PM

Holy ****! That guy can paint! Very nice.

jamesdak 04-29-22 09:56 PM

Well this ol' retired soldier certainly approves! :thumb: Can't wait to see it built back up!

delbiker1 04-30-22 02:43 AM

Sorry, it does look like a really nice paint job, but, the colors and that back end, IMO, do not blend well. The frame itself is strangely ugly. Just my opinion.

That paint job is absolutely phenomenal! What a gorgeous frame! Please, do post photos of the completed bike.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Delbiker1 has a different sense of beauty than myself as I see the complete picture of the bike as wonderful! Here's a toast to the US Army! Cheers!

PS: Go Navy!

look566 rider 04-30-22 01:37 PM

Looks good! What was cost? How involved was work?

jaxgtr 04-30-22 01:54 PM

very nice, although, US Navy would have been better but everyone's taste is a little different. :innocent:

Contact Thomas at Tommy O’ Designs and I’m sure he’d be happy to give you the full run down. You can find him via Google or FB

Maybe the wheels will have navy or air force on them? :innocent:

I disagree. There is enough separation in the middle by a fairly neutral gloss black that the separate Stars and Stripes work well as accents.

Tomm Willians What are the two protrusions at the bottom of the top tube?

If I’m seeing what I think you’re referring to I believe those might be associated with the cable routing ?

I love all the branches, even our newest 6th. You won't see me slandering any of them.

Just a joke man...but was it .... LOL

WhyFi 05-01-22 02:14 PM

So, um, can I ask about the whole Italian bike in American livery thing?

Darth Lefty 05-01-22 02:43 PM

Hard pointless physical labor when there are easier ways definitely sounds like an Army thing. Fill up this whole, then dig another one, jog up the mountain service road, ride a bike way over there and then ride it back again.

mstateglfr 05-02-22 08:20 AM

That frame is definitely a tale of two looks.

I would have split it into two bikes; the first in the black & gold theme, and the second in the red, white, and blue theme.

veganbikes 05-02-22 02:25 PM

That is some good paint. They did some really excellent work.

GrainBrain 05-02-22 02:43 PM

Super nice!

Makes me wish for something on my plain black Cannondale.
