The specialized I think it was the original Prevail, fit me well and seemed to cradle my head on all sides. I tried Giros once, but they felt too 'wide' and almost round inside. The Specialized and Lazer seem more long and narrow? if that sounds right. I also think it vents better than the old Specialized, but I wear a Halo cap, so could be imagining it.

get some lamp oil to cut the wax with. It doesn't evaporate as fast as mineral spirits.

BTW if you want a super cheap Saturn-style homebrew, just combine 2:1 OMS : bar/chain oil. It works almost as well as the fancy lubes and you can make up a couple of quarts for cheap.

On today's extended commute I talked to a group from the local slow cycling club who were standing around a member who was face down on the pavement. The back of the peloton is a dangerous place!

Hey MoAlpha I just saw a 19 year old with some paresthesias for 1 month of his calf area. Nothing above the knee or below the ankle. He is a runner and lifter and training to do an ironman.

My partner saw him and of course ordered EMG/NCS and B12/Folate. Of course all normal and of course the diagnosis is a mild cutaneous neuropathy, likely related to his exercise regimen.

I lectured him to be very careful on the aerobars or better yet, not even use them.

Tell me about it. When I first started looking for places to retire, I naturally started looking near Gettysburg. Mrs. GJ, not wanting to be forced to live near MY family, discovered that her grandmother's place in Corry was up for sale, and spent a week fantasizing about buying it and renting it out till we retired.
