My workout room/bike showroom/annoyed wife room
2 Attachment(s)
It was getting to the point that there were bikes, wheels and equipment all over room off the garage and it was driving me nuts. I found some great racks and some slat board and had a buddy of mine help me install it all.
Now it's organized and neat. My wife thinks it looks like a bike shop. I took that as a compliment though it probably wasn't.:) Have a looksy. |
lower the rack with the shoes. it's too high for aesthetic reasons, for shoes that is. but if it held helmet, parts, etc it would be right height.
|
Fair enough. I just finished it and have not actually loaded up all my crap in there yet. I need a bunch of small hooks and stuff for odds and ends.
|
Nice looking. Your wife is right....it looks like a bike shop.
|
Sweet man cave! For extra wife repellent/non-bike-shop-look you could throw a couple Maxim photos on the walls. Maybe a bar sign or something, too.
|
Very nice Chris, will probably inspire some of us to cleanup our own space. Also you may ignore any 'constructive criticism' from those who can't show us their own impressive implementation of home bike space.
|
fix mess on right side of 1st picture. buy a multi-shelf open bookcase style or drawer and stuff them all there.

lol, how can you critique this? What rules govern what is "aesthetically" pleasing for a home training room? As far as I'm concerned, if it's functional, it's perfect, especially if you built it yourself. Very well done!

Have a looksy. My room's quite a bit more 'Rocky Balboa' style, but I store the bikes in a different room |
This is better than my garage.

marvellous.

Way to sterile and uptight looking. You need to strew some stuff around, haphazardly thumbtack posters and clippings to the walls, you know, make it look a bit more lived-in and guy-like.
|
I don't see an annoyed wife.
|
This is a room with a lot of sweat ;)

What "hooks" are you using to hold the bikes to the wall? I like them better than the ones that I'm using.
|
Three words. Go _ _ _ _ Yourself (out of envy of course)
