Rode far enough to see these sights. Temp was high 50s. Made me very happy except for the 17% pitch on one climb.

Hope you are doing okay if in lock-down?

Troul I thought I have tried that but obviously made some mistake.

I'm just wondering how The Chemist is doing in Shanghai?

Did a quick mountain bike ride doing a whopping 8.6 miles (gasps followed by oos and ahs then loud applause) with 1000’ of climbing (another round of unbelieving gasps). Don’t even try to beat those ultra-human numbers.

34 windy miles after the rain stopped. The sun was out by the end and temps about 60 degrees F. Tomorrow’s weather is looking good, too!

126.4 miles in 6:57 total. Took a bit too long at stops, but not bad for a 63 year old timer

I have been riding my gravel and commuter bikes lately and ignoring my road bike. I was feeling sporty this morning. A glance at the weather radar told me that I should be able to get in a spirited 40 miles before a line of thunderstorm hit. 13 miles out the sky darkened and started stirring ominously. I did an about face and headed for the house. I had little time to spare before this came barreling through.

67 miles around Lake Istapoga this morning, going to the woods for 10 more in a few minutes, it’s getting hot outside!

I rode highway 49 one of the busiest stretches in Mississippi from Florence to the I-20 stack. I would never consider doing this but they have been widening the highway for years now and are almost complete. There are 2 freshly paved lanes for the cars and another lane coned off from cars ready to be repaved, I had a whole lane to myself going and coming, it was great, nobody honking or getting in my space. I have never seen anybody riding a rode bike on this stretch of highway in 20 years so I just had to do it. Many thanks to the highway department and a zillion cones. I guess it was 20 miles in two hours with a nice break at a Kroger grocery store that had outdoor lawn furniture clogging up their covered walk way, I had a table and a nice chair in the shade, why not. I did not need the break I just could not pass up the opportunity. Nice ride.

Cranked out 53 Miles O.D. thennnnnnn it started to rain when it was not suppose to rain (0% chance forecasted)

I really like your virtual sound track. Adds to the images! :roflmao2:

kahn 05-02-22 08:03 AM

20 miles and about 800 feet of gain. I'm not sure where I was below sea level but can assure you that the floating bridge was still floating on the return trip. Although, besides Galloping Gerty (non-floating and non-structurally sound), two of our floating bridges ceased to float and sank! Oh, and Hunts Point is the location of Kenny G's former estate which I just saw is recently for sale for a modest 58 or so MILLION!

I actually saw a different quote for that property which was 85M. It was also on our local news channels. Not sure if that extra 27M will put it out of your price range or not. There's currently a couple of other houses for sale in Hunt's Point ranging from 3.6M to 5.5M. However, two of those cheapie homes are right next to the 520. None are waterfront.

Redfin says it's overpriced at $85M and only put it at just under $72M.

I was thinking of going to the UNopen house!!! Lake shore and as the article noted, there is room to dock a float plane and I forget the length of the yacht!

But the market here in just plain urban Seattle is quite nuts.

Whoops, I was dyslectic, it was 85 Million
