woke up to the sky leaking. Don’t want to get either bike wet. Eating yogurt with granola instead.

It's sunny and warm, but I need to get this wheel built. Afternoon ride scheduled.

I have the Rudy Project version. They’re ok, but the Rx inserts need to be removed to be cleaned fully. I got them because my Rx keeps changing.

Ryders Invert from a third party prescription vendor. I ordered photochromic, since I really want them to be low-light capable.

Begs the question: how do they get the sailboats to the Olympics? Put them in a bigger boat?

LesterOfPuppets how long would it take you to get your rig to Tokyo?

10 years ago I probably would've put it in a container, but I hear those are expensive these days. I dunno how long it takes.

On the topic of Pacific shipping this podcast is interesting. (marginally cycling related)

Staying home.

A view of my hometown, from the cemetery that overlooks it, and which is chock full of former residents.

I wish I had a bike with me. Instead, I've been going for 3 mile walks around town, which, because it's a small town, means having to kinda go back and forth across town. Corn, peaches, and tomatoes all really good!

Mine lenses are transition.

Punctured on my road bike this morning. Sealant did its job in 5 rotations. I think they’re on to something with tubeless.

Looks like the rain is done, if it dries I might venture out for an east ride.

those don’t look bad, but won’t help my foggy glass issue in the winter time.

maybe I should just eat more carrots.

50 mile club ride today. Decent size turnout but only 4 of us did the 50. There was one guy who kept trying to push the pace but the other 3 of us wouldn't bite. Turned into a fun ride but after a coffee stop one of the guys crashed. He got up after a few minutes and finished the ride but couldn't explain why he fell. I looked around and there was a small gap which could have caught a wheel. I was right behind him and I don't know what happened.

A couple years ago I was with him when he tried to follow a car through a gate and the gate came down and hit him in the throat. Last year he crashed when the road narrowed and that time he broke his frame along with some ribs.

Other people have expressed concern about him in the past and today I was watching him and sometimes he seems oblivious to the dangers around him. Everyone likes him, he's a great guy but he worries me.
