Time Atac Alium with Fixed Gear?

Are Time Atac Alium good with fixed gear? I am want to buy it but I want to know how good it is. Has anyone ever had problems with them? I know there has been probably a lot of talk about this but I need my exact questions answered.

Yes.

How long have you had them?

Good but those brass cleats wear pretty fast if you walk a lot with the bike shoes.

I will be using chrome spd shoes so they should work.

I have the Chrome SPD's and the cleats wear out fast. Make sure you are keeping an eye on them because I have to change out the cleat bolts every month. If I do not then removing the bolt is very difficult since the hex key will not fit in properly. Also cleats last me around 6 months.

Here is a picture of my cleat. It is about 3 months old and the I replaced the bolts last week.

i eventually wnet with shimanos cause i got scik of replacing those 50 dollar cleats so often.

shimanos are made of HARD steel and last 10X as long without needing replacement. when it does come time to replace them they are cheaper.

time's do feel slightly better and have a smoother release though (when the cleats are new). once the cleats wear down enough they start to unclip really easy and not always when you want them too.

I actually got Look Quartz but not the carbon one. I was recommend by another fixed gear rider but by far the worst pedals ever. Last time I ask for any recommendation from that guy. The pedal has no spring adjustment. But I also went head and ordered Shimano PD M520 when I found out the Quartz has no spring adjustment. Have you ever seen or used a generic shimano cleat before? Do you think its reliable? Or are these cleat legit and actually cost that much and made by Shimano. Last time I saw at a retail store the cleats cost like $23.

And I am guessing You are using Time Atac? That looks a lot like me Look Quartz cleat. Well I went and got Shimano PD M520 because it is cheap and was told that they are reliable and seen on many fixed gears bike. Do you ride fixed?
