Only 32 miles on Wednesday, my cycling buddy was struggling a little after her 60 miles on Tuesday. At least we had the opportunity for some great pictures again as the weather was fantastic, sadly it's rain today so this is the official rest day.

32 miles for me... |
30 miles down to Grey Cloud Island in the Mississippi. On the way back I had to walk up the crest of a steeper hill. As am doing that a guy coming the other way says "Don't you know you only ride this hill in this direction?" I guess now I do :p. Actually I'm pretty sure I could do this if I get back to riding like I used to.

Only 20 yesterday. But at 16.5 instead of my normal 15.0

my brother got my in to road cycling but he never did a ride over 40 miles, today we did 54 miles, he was really ready to get off the bike.

Nice day today (for November, anyway...) I did 30 miles with a club group, then another 20 home miles. Color is past its peak now, but still lots around.

Only 13 miles today, from my home to the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome to watch the UCI Track Cycling World Cup where Katie Archibald took yet another gold medal
|
73.7 today, 45 of it with my normal Saturday group, the rest to and from our meeting point. Chilly to start (Around 36), but it warmed up once the sun came up and turned into a gorgeous autumn day

Sometimes, it's not just how far you ride, but being ready to JUMP as you pass the "town line sprint pole".
Taken a whisker before moving forward slightly and rising out of the saddle, to out-watt every rascal around ya. Jumping too soon is a disqualifier, it's about power, not tactics. |

No electronics, so a guess is something shy of 30mi. At the tailend of a 5day cold. :o Was a sunny day and dry. A good day for :innocent: :innocent: :innocent: . edit: whistling a song, ridin along, side by side...bababump.:D |
Well a short 25 mi RT commute. Would have been 30+ but they have the forest preserve I commute through closed for an hour before sunset to an hour after sunrise to shoot and kill deer. So I have to take a shorter route through streets. Probably getting near the end of my season with looming travel, cold weather and truncated routes.
The morning commute was quite frigid as I had 16 mi+ headwind in 40F temps, but the ride home in the 50s with the wind to my back was pleasant besides my having to avoid getting shot. . |
I did 25.8 today, to finally go over my year's goal of 3000 miles.
Whew! (That's me on the left) https://dgtzuqphqg23d.cloudfront.net...-1152x2048.jpg |
55 miles to celebrate Veteran's Day and in remembrance of my fallen buddies.
|
They finally reopened the back entrance to my neighborhood; so I celebrated by riding the 20 miles round trip to the library and back. First time in 2 weeks I have been able to head that direction due to road construction.
