Started at 6 am, and it was 82. I finished at 8:30, and it was a humid low 90's already. Did the same Sunday, with lower humidity.

I hope it rains if it's going to be this humid today.

30 miles round trip on the Columbia trail in NJ.

I hate city biking, but I enjoy Milwaukee, so I drove 77 miles there to bike 38 miles.

50 miles today on the Scott Sportster today. I was feeling it at the end, but it's good to get that far.

First 30 miler of the year - hot & humid, even in the AM, when I rode.

52 miles - 3 hrs. 36 mins., 3/4 loaded (missing 2 rear panniers), pulling a trailer with 70 lbs. of additional gear and water. 750w BaFang center drive and 2 Li-ion triangle packs. Stunning, hot day.

50.1 mi in 92F high humidity. Got a bit dehydrated - really weird at the end of the ride I started whiting out and almost passed out, then my eyes were dilated and everything was severely bright for 15-20 minutes. Didn't take in enough electrolytes I think.

11 miles and I'm proud of every one. 2 months ago I was riding 2-3. 11 miles is the farthest I've biked in 10+ years. I got a cramp in my hamstring area though that's still killing me. Back in the day I never got cramps.

HOT in Nashville

Yesterday, I just wasn't feeling it. Had to work to get to 10 miles. Today I wanted to keep going, but I knew I'd hate myself going past 20 miles. Isn't it funny what a day's difference can make?

Yes it is definitely HOT here in Nashville! Was able to get in 10 miles yesterday very late in the evening into darkness. Weatherman says we should have some relief this weekend though, so I'm going to try to get in a 40 or 50 mile ride.

I averaged 17 mph on my 10 mile run yesterday, but at my age, anytime my average is over 15 mph, I'm happy with it.
