Most of the "farms" I ride by are just hayfields with cows and horses and stuff.

Good ride. Not too hard, not too easy. Not too short, not too long. Just right.
|
On my ride I did see a group of 4 riders in team kit for a local racing club. They were riding more or less in a pace line, i.e., quite unsafe given COVID19 situation. They may be serous cyclists, but also seriously foolish.
I did not wave. I bet that taught them a lesson! |

I'm no farmer but the idea is that some crops are complimentary, replenishing to the soil what the previous one depleted.

Several of my club mates are also doing informal group rides. I already told them that’s effing stupid but I can’t fix stupid. Sad!

The cake baking, while mom slept in, went off without a hitch. Then these two took care of the finishing touches after lunch (excuse the we-haven't-been-out-in-several-weeks messy house).

My alma mater is having a "virtual 5k" tomorrow. People enter their times on a Google form. They're not even asking for Strava or other proof. Sad.
Should I enter one of my walks for the drawing? |
Hmm... my laptop screen just went black for a few seconds. That's not reassuring.

Maybe they'll catch up with the last couple centuries and figure out crop rotation.

Play store meaning this is an Android? Try doing a search - there should be a desktop app from the manufacturer that will do the backup. It was an iPhone that died on me, and their home buttons were famous for dying like all the time. And that also means I can't say for sure if there's a software home button available, either.

Kudos. But this finishing touch ruined what looks to be a perfectly good cake. SMH.

I did not wave. I bet that taught them a lesson! Saw lots of people riding together. Passed as far right as I could. But at least I found a sweet stealth camping spot not too far off the trail. Now if we can just get a nice weekend. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...0351181ad.jpeg |

I've been totally taken by boats and especially sail since I was a little kid. As a consequence of that infatuation I've worked as a boat builder more often than anything else. Now as an old man I'm still in love and read sailing stories and watch sailing videos often. There are videos showing how to tack a square rigger, something I've wondered about. From the number of videos it seems I'm not the only one taken by the romance of the sea. Some of the videos are from old film which can contain some surprises. The video in the link of the schooner Wanderbird, on a passage around Cape Horne, in which the owner sails with his family, shows a totally different attitude to children's safety as we see them climbing the rigging and cavorting out on the bow sprite.

I stopped by my LBS today after work in an attempt to throw some money at a local small business...yeah, they didn't really need my help. I walked in and their comfort and kids bikes in the center of the store are almost wiped out. The sales manager said they are building up 3 bikes and selling 5, regularly, and they've got a 2 week long wait list for repairs.
What this tells me is that the MUP is crowded in town. |
Leaderboard shows all 3 podium spots taken by the docs.
