Went to the doctor today for a quick blood pressure check. Blood pressure is fine, faa requires it. Anyways, while I was there I mentioned my hand (it has gotten better), and he was shocked that I was on the bike for four hours. He actually showed concern, and said the max cardio activity I should be doing is 60 mins max three times a week. He said that hours of cardio has been proven to cause heart problems in Endurance athletes. I don’t plan on stopping what I am doing anytime soon, Thoughts anyone?

So, another black swan event to shatter a world hanging on by a thread? On a personal level, 2016 was the year my poor old boy died (in August, when I thought that was the worst thing in the year). I think it's since then that media death has hit me harder; "It's Quiet Uptown" has been rolling in my head today and it's brutal. |

The funny thing is I saw random high HR numbers, but thought the monitor was screwing up. Cardiologist told me that HR's are really good at counting beats, good or bad. I never felt anything while it was happening, but doesn't change the possible outcome of syncope, or death. |
