That would be an excellent Cino bike.

SoccerBallXan 07-21-23 02:46 PM

There were two Aeroewinds posted here for years. One was $5, the other $15. Surprisingly, the $15 bike sold (I thought the $5 bike was in better condition). I think the guy asking $5 gave up.

Cool bike nonetheless.

AdventureManCO 07-21-23 02:59 PM

Where is it? WANT.

jethin 07-21-23 03:02 PM

You wish. That price is missing a zero, maybe two.

Robvolz 07-21-23 03:09 PM

You are correct. I have fat fingers, they were covered in grease and I wasn’t wearing my readers.

This bike is available for $30 at the co-op in Missoula, Montana.

Chinghis 07-21-23 03:17 PM

Are those plastic calipers?! Or just "aerodynamic" housings or coverings?

Thank for your letting us know!

Cino is currently happening this weekend and it is 2 hrs northof this co-op. Is there anyone attending Cino that is driving south through Missoula to get back home that passes by this co-op? And then continues on to their home heading through Colorado or Wyoming? Looking for a 'rucker' or an 'intermediary' that might be able to pickup (literally, as well:lol:) that I could meet up w/ for a handoff and a little kickback?

Very interested.

I suspect that they aren’t in the habit of shipping, but maybe for a proper donation they might. Ask for Emily, she is the Director and she is there today.

I tell her I sent you.

Family vacation! I'm just sure the family would love it. I mean, what's a cool 1800 miles for a Huffy?

repechage 07-21-23 10:35 PM

I saw one of these for sale way back. At a Smith’s Sporting Goods store.
I looked it over and did not know what to say.
still don’t.

I wonder what they used to squash the seat tube and down tube? It kind of looks like they just ran over the frame with a Chevette. Which would probably work with Huffy grade steel.

We had plans to visit a local polson creamery, then Quinn’s resort for the hot tubs followed by Wallace Idaho for the Hiawatha ride. Plus I teach a wine class tonight back in Portland or we would have grabbed her for you.

I think in August we are headed to Durango, it would be the long - way- round, but for a 6-pack of Coors……

Thanks for thinking of me:) If the stars align, awesome. If not, other (heavy) fish in the sea, I suppose!

xiaoman1 07-25-23 08:42 PM

I would buy it for the novelty it presents.......weight wennies there is a lot of weight savings on the shifters and brakes.
I like it!
Best, Ben
Yes, I know "a fool and his money are soon parted", but where else can you have dented/flattened tubes that are meant to be that way without others saying how those tube will fail. :p

At least as cool as an Edsel! Downhills would be a blast , weeee……! Make sure you get that lock with it , wouldn’t want that bike to get stolen.

Robvolz 07-25-23 10:44 PM

Lock doesn't come with the combo!!

LOL. I might call them today just to see if there is an 'end date' for it, like when a poor animal runs out of time at a kill shelter. Like those animals, I have a soft spot for things of this sort that wind up in a bad predicament.

I didn't see any tags on the $30 bikes in that building. I think they just sit there until taken.
