All of my bands music from high school was recorded on to tapes. I still have those, but no way to listen.

I can clearly remember when 0-60 in 6.6 seconds was a sporty car. Now, your average Honda Accord can do that.

I'm fairly sure the 5000 lb box I drive ('17 Explorer) is close to that.
You didn't know you are so sporty! |

Maybe even faster: Tested: 2017 Ford Explorer Platinum (caranddriver.com)
You didn't know you are so sporty! The article - comparing a '16 Explorer Sport to a '17 Explorer Platinum - is kind of dumb. The '17 model year got an upgrade to the info-tainment system, but they are mechanically identical vehicles. The Platinum is the luxury-trimmed version of the Sport. The newer Explorers are surprisingly agile for a big box. My '17 is a big step up from my previous '06. |

That's Steve - an old industry friend of mine. He worked at Singer in the early days, before I did. We chatted a lot and played with all of the new toys whenever he popped in to the shop and I'm pretty sure that our conversations made it in to a least of couple of his articles for Stereophile.
