Some signals don't pick up plastic bikes. It's a problem.

I got a warning for crossing at a red, with no traffic in sight and after a long wait for a camera which wasn’t picking me up. The cop said I should have dismounted and pressed the button for the ped Xing. Now I check behind me for cops before running reds.

I learned that by the time I got to be 14 or so. I thought Dad liked to ride for WAY too long though. I was ready to wrap it up about a half hour in :)

A lot of them don't pick up metal bikes either, some intersections won't even pick up a motorcycle. Old inductive loops, or the sensitivity is set too low or ???

That was my judgment too and I said so, but I figured I’d get a summons if I belabored the point.

This was a camera and the bike was titanium.

Was that about the vintage of OCLV (later known as Soloist) Assassin's bike?

You're a vehicle, not a pedestrian. If the inductor loops don't pick you up, the light is malfunctioning and under the right circumstances, you may proceed through. They wouldn't make a goddam DRIVER get out and push the goddam button.

There's only a few of those around here. I guess you need to TAKE THE LANE to be seen!

SO, if you're a weight weenie with a CF bike, CF wheels with CF spokes, CD cranks, CF fork and steerer, CF stem and bars, CFseapost and saddle with CF rails, you gotta carry a pocket full of change.

The Texan attacks hills by crouching. It’s nowhere near as efficient. Trust me.

Maybe she is scared of heights....

Or. Right turn. U-turn. Right turn.

lots have moved to radar, and a smart counter that can make adjustments for traffic flow. They don't pick us up either

My wheels are metal and the light to go to the Brown Squirrel loop doesn't pick me up. Sometimes I've stood there for several minutes. It's lame.

If there's a big enough break in the traffic to do a U-turn, then you might as well have gone through the red light. The right turn doesn't help.
