I will be there Sunday afternoon, Let me know if you're going and we'll try and meet up. Hoping there's more to see than last years show which was the first since COVID.
|
Hmmmmm, could be fun
Can we just roll in on a vintage bike and display it? |
@jet sanchEz - You can but, vintage bike or no, I bet they charge you the same admission as the rest of us!
@gthomson, I'll be in a grey Ford ranger (hopefully full of stuff)! |
WGB Awesome, I will come by and say hello. You might have some things on my list to look for.
FYI did you see that red Miele bike on sale in Niagara on the Lake? gorgeous bike at a great price. I was going to buy it pending on moving one of my bikes but I'm having no luck so looks like my loss. |
I was busy trying to clear some of my stash so I had only a very short walk-around. It seems that since they moved from Alexander Graham Bells house, coupled with the fall out of Covid, that the show is attracting less and less people.
Very slow sales and seems to be lower prices. **** Should have put in that prices below are in Canadian Dollars - Kanukistan Kopeks! https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...8ba96e029e.jpg Very Nice International - no sale at $250. I wish I had room https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...b9bed145c6.jpg This Penny Farthing did sell. I'm told $2,000 https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...90d6c6b778.jpg 1953 Viking. Asking $200 - no sale https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...1d3ac75fb4.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...e37aae3c5f.jpg This was a show stopper and it too was $200 and didn't sell either https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...c069195dc4.jpg Lastly, I may post a thread under the valuation thread as owner was looking to sell this. He got this as a child and unlike me, he cared for his things. The voices in my head want those shifters! https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...9996c47cd9.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...55a3193d74.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...c5b79860b5.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...a40de17b0f.jpg |
^ How much were they asking for the Casati frame?
|
@P!N20 I can find out out if you like.

I couldn't get to the show until about 1:30 and by that time, half the vendors had packed up and left so was overall disappointed with it. There were good deals if you were looking for a new bike which I wasn't and any of the accessories I saw were not relevant to me. WGB you were probably gone by the time I got there. I did get to meet Sam from Sam's cycles so that was cool.
Will not be going back next year and agree that it's not the same show after moving from the heritage farm property. Too bad. |
Wow!
The prices seem great to me, that orange International would be a good fit... Man oh man, is the used bike market ever soft. |

I am frequently thankful I live somewhat removed from bargains as pictured earlier in this thread ! In saying that I have canadian cousins . I wonder if they would mind filling a shipping container for me ? ( just kidding, sort of ) |
It is a buyers market up here for sure. Bikes that would have gone for hundreds of dollars more a few years ago, are sitting on marketplace for weeks on end. I tried to unload a Japanese made Sakai road bike from the 80's in mint condition and not even a single bite.
