That falls under skanky and smelly.

The horse punching happened at two of the playoff games the year the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Both happened outside the stadium. Both face punches.

The night they won it all a massive, drunken crowd assembled around City Hall to celebrate. A fan ate horse poop. Saw the video on YouTube. Don't know if it is still up.

Nope someone decided to use our hotel trash can to clean house.

Maybe my message to purge off-road cycling from your life is finally getting out there.

That's a terrible message.

I used to climb and descend this trail but the last 2 or 3 times out there I have climbed the shallower way up and only done the descent. I guess I have purged that climb. The video doesn't show how steep it really is.

Your New Year's resolution can be to give up the entire thing.

Guadalasca Trail (sycamore canyon) - YouTube

That's generally my choice, any time the option is available.

Why would I give up something I truly enjoy?

That's especially important when SSing, at least for me.

What we used to do was climb Guadalasca, the one in the video, then descend Backbone to the valley floor, go out to the beach, then there are lots of options for the return trip. Are you familiar with the area?

Only vaguely. I rode Sycamore once about 20 years ago. I remember the ride being really awesome.

Definitely. SS makes you vividly aware of the grade, for sure.

It's a good thing there's a sign at the border, because once you get on Route 7 out of Troy, it all feels like Vermont to me.

To become a cyclist as God intended.

God intended to be a cyclist?

Which verse in the Bible includes "thou shalt only be a roadie"?

In Jesus' time it was all off-road.

I've done well over 200,000 miles on road bikes. I don't think a compassionate god would begrudge me a few hours on dirt.

Shorter version...I only sin a little.

Paved roads became widespread when bicycles became popular.

Coincidence? I think not.

The Romans would disagree.
