The sign was made by a contractor and has been covered up until "repairs" can be made.

For a long time there was an official road sign along a popular bike ride our club used to do that read "Bridge Out. Loacl Traffic Only". It may even still be there. Even funnier is that the bridge was repaired a long time ago. My guess is that the local people wanted the sign to remain to steer through traffic off a quiet road.

While riding across the country we spent two weeks in the state. Second highest number of days of any state. Montana was first, but not by much. It was nice, except for the mosquitoes. One fun experience was walking across the Mississippi River at Lake Itasca.

My ride was fake too. And the feared snowfall was a dud, so I could have ridden outside. I could'a been a contender. I could've been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am, let's face it.
