Protection for winter commuting

Anyone here wear any kind of padded protection during winter commuting. ie. elbow/knee pads, hip protection shorts w built in chamois, etc.

Kindly share what brands and measurements/sizing.

I haven't found a need for any pads winter commuting in Minnesota since '94.

One of my best pieces of protective equipment for winter is a mirror. When riding in a tire rut you can't risk turning your head back causing you to veer more than a few inches off your track.

No, sorry. I usually have so much clothing on anyway…

With so much clothing and such slow speeds, why would you need anything? Best protection from injury: lights, reflective vest, goggles, studded tires.
