Had a good ride last night with the guys. Lots of suffering in 30 miles when done correctly.
So I have placed some blue painters tape inside the chainstays on Contador. This way if the wheel rubs it will mark the tape and then I will know if it still rubs. I recently repacked the disk bikes B.B. But Still get the click click click, that I love so much. So yesterday, I removed the thread together Token bb and replaced it with a, of all things, Sram pf 30 Dub B.B. Eddie Mercx (sp) help me. I really don't like this Dub system of all proprietary spacers and parts. It's just to cutsey.. the spacers lock into little grooves on the bearing covers. Much too delicate looking. But time and mileage will tell. It's resting comfortably, maybe tonight.. |

After this a.m.’s I flat trashed the GP5K which had been on my rear wheel since March 2020. That set must now have well over 10,000 mi. Dimples were still visible and the front is fine except for a very small sideways crack in the tread which I glued.

So slamdancers like me need not apply? :(
I remember watching a video a few months ago from NorCal Racing (or whatever) and he talked about looking at the gap between average power and NP to get a good idea of how smoothly you're riding (smaller gap = smoother). Even on longer rides, I'm ******g horrible by that metric. |
On long endurance rides, you're doing it right if average and nominal is within a couple watts. Same-same is ideal. That means there was no slacking, and the pedals were always turning.

Hence the popularity of Pink Floyd.
It is quite a dysfunctional machine and that's the best analogy I gots. |
Got my new Kickr yesterday. Sucker weighs 55# in the box. Being a spindly arm old man, I barely got it moved to the training area in basement.

must be nice, my pro ones are shot after about 2500 miles. Front tire currently has a tube patch on the inside.

I'm going to get Vittoria Corsa for the Allez next. 28mm. May have to go with tan sidewalls, if the black sidewalls don't become available soon.

Do these Olympic games count?

For the first time in many years of flying internationally, I did not receive a note from homeland security in my checked bag(my bike).

Yeah between the flywheel and the frame, those newfangled smart trainers are quite heavy.
My wife has already claimed the new one. |

And, I'm riding hills here. A different animal. And I'm carrying a pannier and, sometimes, measurable weight. |
Y'all are #blessed that I have 8am meetings on Fridays. And getting back to running. Would be up ~30mpw if it weren't for those two factors.
Doesn't usually seem to matter though. :innocent: |
Wow, Bermuda had quite the outfits for the opening ceremonies.

Are they pro 4s by chance? How is your flat per ride ratio on them? I had a set of the Endurance version but got multiple flats on several rides. I gave up on them. They showed a lot of promise ride wise.
