At 70, I still see 165-166 about once a week but anything over 155 makes me feel uncomfortable. Now, if we start talking LHR, I have most people beat. :innocent:

You can sell part of your liver also. It'll grow back. Repeat over and over for a sustainable income supply.

At your age, 200 should be doable. Do a nice set of 3 min suprathreshold intervals and take the last one up to Z7 until you lose bowel and bladder control.

Got in a second ride with the previously mentioned, and recently mounted, Pirelli P-Zeros. They're not the most supple tires in the world, even when running them slightly lower than I used to run the Michelin or Schwalbe, but holy schnikes are they grippy as stink. It's the most glued-to-the-road feeling I've ever experienced. I almost feel like I could slam on the rear brake and go over the bars before locking up the tire.

Re:tires, I have used exclusively conti GP (finishing up hoarded 4000s) for the past decade. I am not adventurous enough to try anything else. Will be premiering 5000s soon.

If you want to test things, I think you need a structured workout. I never seem to hit big numbers on group rides, no matter how hard.

Cheyenne is just barely in Wyoming. You can think of it as being Nebraska or Colorado if you prefer.

Hmmm...I'm with you on the lack of suppleness, but I haven't felt the grippy factor. Are they holding air for you? I'm having trouble with mine again, and can't find the source of the leak. 80psi down to nothing overnight, but I can't hear anything leaking. I added another 20ml of Orange juice, and swished/shook/spun it around, but it didn't make a difference. Next step if to submerge it in the bathtub, I guess. I'm getting pretty irritated with it. Zero issues like this with the Contis. Grrr....
And yeah, they've held air well. They dropped a little, maybe 10psi, the night after they were installed (I didn't ride/spin them extensively after installing), but I actually had to let air out this morning because they didn't drop as much as I'd wanted them to. |
Velo, next Wed, I will be stopping by Knoxville on my way to Dallas. Not sure what time I’ll be arriving or what hotel I will be at yet, but I will have my Cervelo in the back of the mini van.

We got snow in Rock Springs in June and July also. The July snow didn't really stick though.
