Hulu has Behind Enemy Lines.

Meets all of your qualifications. Plus it has Owen Wilson. Who doesn’t like Owen Wilson.

Behind Enemy Lines is a dark movie during dark times. I’ve watched it three times.

I’d be willing to wager that the telephoto isn’t either. ;)

Two of my favorite somewhat sleeper films from several years ago:

The Drop. Gandolfini’s last film. Also stars Tom Hardy and Naomi Rapace. Crime drama/thriller. Not overly violent, and a cute puppy.

The Way, Way Back: Sam Rockwell, Allison Janney, Toni Collette, Amanda Peet and Steve Carrel, among others. Feel good film. Great closing credits tune.

Don’t know if either are available, but I would search.

BTW…I am with you on the Marvel thing.

thanks for the info.

It was freezing. The castelli alpha 2 Ros jacket is absolutely amazing.

The rest of my gear worked as advertised, my little soldier started to get cold around mile 14. I’ll have to figure out a solution for that. Rest of me stayed warm.

Was looking at that jacket- worth the money?

sounds too dark and war movies are not something I would put her through. It's the women's equivalent to a chick flick. Is Owen Wilson the guy from Marley and me - the dog movie? If so, not a fan.

I got the Rapha Core winter jacket, and really like it. Thicker more wind resistant up front, thinner and more breathable in back. Non-floppy fit.

Couple more ideas if you haven’t seen them:

Ford versus Ferrari

The Art of Racing in the Rain

Thats another on my list. I’m sure that is probably plenty for me, but I also ride in just a thermal base layer and jersey over top from 40-30 degrees

saw and both enjoyed f vs f. I'll look into the other one.

Is it time to explain the benefits of the awesome Marigold jacket?

yes.

phrantic09 01-08-22 12:19 PM

Would add to the movie list

Don’t Look Up, The Report

phrantic09 01-08-22 12:22 PM

It’s 20 and sunny here with dry roads and I’ll be damned if I’m going to miss riding today, hangover or no.

phrantic09 01-08-22 12:29 PM

The plot has thickened on the quest for n=1. My wife now insists that I just consider replacing the R3 and keep the gravel bike, but to also make sure whatever I get has electronic shifting. She’s steering me down a dark path toward the Caledonia5

I missed by 3 degrees, but we might do it tonight. If not, definitely Tuesday and Wednesday.

Single-digit temperatures and a blanket of snow (sure it's only a few inches...). Finally feels like winter.

A few years back, we had out driveway redone. They had to cut the concrete at the front of the garage, since the garage floor and the driveway had all been poured at the same time back in 1946. That mean they needed to have the garage door open while then cut. Mrs. GeneJockey and I carefully put up plastic sheeting to prevent the dust getting in the finished garage.

It didn't help. Everything was covered in concrete dust.

Don't they use water with those saws? Apparently not.
