Yes, to a somewhat strenuous and expensive place, where a drink at the end of the day is like the gift of life itself!

Last day of training, so ready to be home.

Mojo, was does code orange for air pollution mean?

Good news: 3/6.

Bad news: I have to work this morning, so I can’t go out riding with my friends.

That you need to take lots of nice, deep breaths for optimal oxygenation.

It means that the air quality is the best it's ever been. Breathe deep and hold it. It eliminates the need for cigarettes.

Ever flown into LAX and fly thru that brown sky? That's what it means.

Two days recuperation should be enough. I don't know that I'll ride but I'll do something active. Antibacterial every six hours is messing with my sleep. 2.5 more days.

I always thought Weather Report was a much bigger band than that, just from listening to them.

Some of that might be Joe Zawinu on those keyboards. Plus, Jaco hits enough notes to sound like 2 bass players. And a very active drummer.
The lineup changed during their run. I don't know how many there were at different times.

I saw them open for Eddy Murphy at the Spectrum. Think it was in 1984.

Hey, did you finish your cross-state ride??

seedsbelize2 09-17-22 12:38 PM

I mixed up a batch of datlas special chain oil this morning. I mixed it right in the Tri-Flo bottle, so the proportions might not be perfect. Tried it out on my town bike, and found it to be considerably thicker than the Tri-Flo, and thicker than I expected. I can thin it as needed, as I use it.

That was their only hit, a disco era tune.

did the wordle, then a 50 mile route that should have taken me 3 hrs but it took 3:15…. power way down, out of breath / weak, super slow. a truly perfect morning though, and beautiful route, so there’s that, i guess.

Had a nice 60ish mile ride with the club. Some new faces and abilities all over the map. One of the ladies got bad leg cramps and walked part of a longish climb, another shouted obscenities at how difficult the climb was.

One of the women had a new Emonda and her shop installed a different saddle for her yesterday and it ended up pointing way up. Try as I might, I couldn't rotate the stupid thing inside the mast and eventually turned it around and it worked! I was pretty ham fisted with it and when I got home I looked it up and the mast is $200!

I also found a discussion where they said the thing can get stuck but I guess they just forced it. A giant PITA to save some grams.
