One or two pics.

My wife and I eloped - and I mean for real on a whim got married eloped. We were visiting Chicago to go to an episode of Wait Wait, Don’t Tell Me and decided when we were there we should just get married. Went and bought a suit, two rings, a wedding like dress and a bouquet of flowers and got married at the Cook County Courthouse on a Saturday morning.

The people in the city were amazing, we spent the day going to museums, going up the Sears tower, having brunch etc and everywhere we went people wanted to take our picture for us. We have hundreds of them on our phones.

We ended the night at a bar on the 95th floor of the Hancock tower and it was truly incredible. We were also allowed to jump the 90 minute wait line.

First fail. I think I should wait 'til at least 10am to do them. Brain no work too good this early.

Yet another Covid silver lining. I had this horrible throat infection for the past couple days. Normally I would go to the Dr and get antibiotics and be done with it. What with Covid protocols, one doesn't just go to the Dr. One has to have a very good reason, just to get in the door of the clinic. And then there is the likelihood of being sent off for testing. Not wanting to mess with any of that, I chose to ride it out. I figured that, no matter how uncomfortable I was, if the infection was life-threatening it would produce a fever. It did not. And the worst of it appears to have passed. :bday:

Most common description of Omicron I've heard is "worst sore through of my life."

If you do it twice on different devices, you sometimes get it right on the first try. :thumb:

I've been considering starting a new run with zero fails on a different device.

Private browsing on your phone does the same thing. I use it to mess with my wife but usually make it 2.

Wow! I hadn't heard. Perhaps I should get tested. It didn't last as long as it should have, if infected. Is there any point in getting tested at this juncture?

As long as you can isolate, no need for you. However, if your wife wants to go out, both of you should probably be tested.

There is a photo like that of me and Mrs. rjones28, except the municipal office is in Delaware.

IKR, it's one of those days when the road spray is super dirty. Feel like I'm going to use a whole gallon of washer fluid.

My favorite Annie Lennox song:
Fun fact, Mrs John's brother made his career as a ballet dancer in two different all male ballerina dance troops. He lasted into his late 40s or early 50s until arthritis made it too painful.

From George Takei: I want to see Pantsuit Minnie go on a date with the Green M&M in sensible flats just to see Tucker Carlson lose the last of his sanity on air.

As we await first hand information on testing options, I am already being blamed in case my wife can't go to that meeting tomorrow.
