They have other computer mount options as well. I think Mike Zagorski (also a trackie) sells his metal one for about $75. Shapeways is interesting. Basically, you design something using 3D modeling software and upload it to their site then you open your "store". People can then order your design to be printed and shipped directly from Shapeways. This is why they don't come with the nuts and bolt, becasue the seller never touches them and Shapeways doesn't have the nuts and bolts. |

It's odd that IG is preferred when IG has explicit rules against advertising. If you watch the Icarus doco movie the IOC decision regarding the Brazilian Olympics stinks of corruption. I would say that this is a "slap on the wrist" punishment in lieu of the punishment that the world demanded to be dished out in Brazil and that they will now be given a clean slate by the IOC to attend the Olympics in Japan. "Watch this space"

I wonder how long it will take for Dr. Grigoriy Rodchenkov to turn up dead. This is a huge embarrassment for Russia. You can bet their radar is focused on him now more than ever.

If the doping was sanctioned by the highest sporting orgs in the country, it’s not a stretch to assume that summer event athletes were involved, too. I’m not alluding to Perkins doping. Quite the opposite. He could be one of the clean athletes that has to suffer because of what higher-ups chose to do. |

Such a fair price point.
I never understood why cycling helmets cost so much more than BMX or Skate helmets (around $70USD), other than the fact that we are willing to pay what they ask for them. BMX and Skate helmets are legal for track racing and are rated to be used in up to 3 accidents as opposed to 1 for road cycling helmets. If ProTec relaxes the 3 crash standard and made them good enough for 1 they’d probably be even lighter and cheaper. $300-500 for a helmet is nuts. I have a Casco Warp III and I paid retail price for it. It’s simply not worth that money. |

It certainly met all of my needs so far. It's pretty heavy, and I'm not really sure those front "vents" actually do anything, but on the track that doesn't matter a lot. The magnetic visor is nice and they have multiple color options, but you have to buy them separately. The straps are kind of cheap feeling, but they work well enough. For those other fellow Americans, I'm not sure it's technically CPSC certified, so I believe you could be DQed for wearing it at non-national/international events, but I doubt that's actually going to be a problem. |
Hey y'all, since I'm a newbie I'm not allowed to post URLs just yet, but while searching around on Amazon I found these bars made by Lixada. They are being marketed as a track bar and look like a Scatto copy, but are retailing on Amazon for 74.00. Curious if anyone has any experience with them.
