Pendant crane training today. 2 buttons. The top one is actually marked "up" the bottom one is labeled ........wait for it....."down". Saves on confusion I guess. In what corner of hell do you suppose the button to lift would have any business being on the bottom of the controller?
I can't imagine what the training is going to be like...
or better yet the accident that caused management to come up with a training program.....I might actually be to smart for this place......

Staph aureus enterotoxin is heat stable, but refrigeration prevents it. Botulinum toxin, on the other hand, which is the big danger in canned goods, is easily destroyed by heating.

Close, but no cigar.

Yeah. Aside from the radiator it looks like a 1500. Maybe there was a slightly different design for a different climate?

Ill try to remember to ask a coworker tomorrow. He own a locomotive restoration business.

Its frustrating, the Vet cant figure it out. Not worms or coccidia or pancreatitis so we give him antacid and a bland diet - otherwise its wake up every 2 hours in the night to take him outside.

In Belize we heated leftovers to boiling for a few minutes every 12 hours. Tropical and no refrigeration. Of course we weren't eating that fancy schmancy food. Mostly beans and rice and vegies.

This place went up in flames two nights ago. Three blocks from me. Sad.

Born and raised? On the playground is where you spent most of your days?

When I saw he new footage showing the turret burning and heard what block it was on, I immediately new what house it was. I pass it when I ride home from in town.

Where were you in W. Philly? I grew up at 48th & Osage.

I was born just outside of the city so my teenage mother's pregnancy could be kept as much of a secret as possible. But I was raised in W. Philly. In fact, I grew up about 12 blocks from Will Smith's home. And I have mentioned before, one of the "Whass Up?" guys from the Bud commercials lived very close to me and was a childhood/adolescent friend of mine.

My arm hurts. Either too much power lifting, or the injection.

No, during grad school at Penn. Not a happy time.

MoAlpha or other: Exactly what is required to get an "abstract" made public? If this was so clearly bad info, how did it get put up on this site?

Could be something else - check for hair on your palms.

The unique raised radiator design was something installed by Union Pacific when they rebuilt the locomotive (locomotives, actually; they did it to a lot of them). Not sure of the reasoning, really, it might even been for some simple reason such as maintaining parts commonality with other types of locomotives (GP9s, etc). Or maybe the larger radiator section and fans were needed for cooling.

Interesting that that is the one in Cruger. I've driven by there MANY times....

If a truck can manage with three speeds, a cyclist should be just fine with "only" ten.

big john 12-01-21 09:52 AM

Yesterday we cut our ride a bit short and changed the route because of unexpected wind. Turned out to be a fun ride until the last 8 miles which was straight into the wind. Last night the house was shaking again from strong winds and it was predicted to continue today, but it looks like it might have calmed down enough to venture out.
