Anyway I pigged out on fair food including a funnel cake the size of a Frisbee. A big Frisbee.

My observation is that fair food is never as good as you expect it to be. Except funnel cake, which is better.

Dunno, man. I can't really get used to the idea of chartreuse. I'm having enough difficulty with the "Saffron" long sleeve jersey I bought. It just seems so...visible.

I hear you. I have a couple of very old hi-vis jerseys, but I never wear them. Just can't.

I do have a dark red jersey, but that's about as far as it goes. Otherwise, I blend in with things pretty well.

Tuesday ride went ok. Felt pretty crappy at the end and I think it's the anti-biotics I've been taking since the oral surgery. It's pretty hot again and it's supposed to be over 110 this weekend.

We've had an exceptionally temperate Spring and Summer here in the Bay Area - very few days even in the 90s on the Peninsula. But it looks like Fall is starting off hot.

(Yes, I know. Summer officially doesn't end till the Equinox, but here, September and October are our hottest months. It's a different season from Summer)

September is often the hottest month here.

On Wordle today I got all 5 letters in the second word, all in the wrong spots. First time that happened.

My new internet policy: Don’t correct bad info, no matter how dumb or positively stated, unless some innocent party is likely to be harmed by acting on it. Chance of adherence, 65%.

Same start. Same result. I suspect we used a similar (or the same) starting word.

Must be. It's the only reasonable explanation.

Won’t experience that here until winter.

Last time I was in SF, it was in the 100s. Fortunately, the hotel was air conditioned, but a bunch of restaurants we went to weren’t.

Yes, it was in September.

My prom tux was called Blue Brocade. I don't remember the shirt, or anything else for that matter. 1969

I only wear hi-viz. And I only ride alone. I don't want to give anyone the excuse that they didn't see me. True, it took some getting used to. But so did wearing spandex again, and they both occurred around the same time frame.

September is our most humid month. The fifth, of six months of rainy season.

Yes, it was in September.

In my experience, coming from Sacramento, September and October are the only warm months in SF.

65%? You're a better man than I. Some stuff, no matter how innocuous, is just too dumb.

It's called a farm. With a barn.

Nope. Never heard of 'em.

Its initials are UNI. I was thoroughly amused by that.
