BIllyD - I got 56, 57, 58, 59, Large, and 61.

Got my eyes on that 61. Um, feel better.

Drat, indeed. I already sent his wife a shipping box for the Canyon.

All week it was supposed to rain and it didnít rain once.

Tomorrow looks like itís guaranteed. If it does rain iíll just do intervals. Waste of a work out my legs are shot, but if I donít ride iíll be even more upset.

# issues.

My weekend forecast calls for 10-12 hours of driving each day. I don't suspect that it'll change, so both days will be a no-go as far as rides.

Sad.

I was hoping to find a pic of a nine speed unit but didn't wanna put that much effort in. :)

LesterOfPuppets 07-08-22 12:35 PM

That pic reminds me of when I gave up on cycle computers. Eventually the only number I cared about on there was the time of day.

And I didn't even care about that very often.

But if you Strava your drive, you can easily get KOM.

Yeah, but I'm sure that some loser with too much time on their hands will flag my rides for no good reason. I mean, other than them taking place in a car.

Speaking of the race, that finish-OMG.

That finish was flat-out robbery by a ruthless competitor. Exciting stuff, indeed.

seedsbelize2 07-08-22 01:59 PM

I returned home with a smile on my face, after having ridden the last half hour in the rain.

Yep, we got hammered from early morning until 0100 and it just started thundering a few minutes ago, 1515. Weíre trying to get it out of here and over to you.

Trsnrtr 07-08-22 02:20 PM

Flight decks were common on tandems back in the day because the captain has trouble seeing the cassette.

wait that old computer could tell you what gear you are on?

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!

That would work awesome on my ritchey.

I don’t know if you are being facetious or not, but yes, you programmed your gears into the unit and it kept track and if I recall, calculated rpm’s, too. There were buttons on the side of compatible Shimano shifters. Mine was on a 2003 Santana Sovereign tandem with 9 speed Ultegra.

Like I said, they were very popular with tandem captains.

Thatís the term used for the highly abused slave operating the controls on a tandem.

I know. On sailboats we all know who the admiral is and it ainít the driver. When we had ours, I was just the cabin boy.
