The one across town (all of 300 yards away, if that) was heated, using the heat from the A/C for the main house. Generally I liked that one better, but there was one really HOT day when the neighbors were hosting a party, so we went over to the heated one. It was like bathwater. It was worse than the air!

My company is in the business of building swimming pools (large competition pools, not residential). There have been a couple of times we have built pools in desert areas where the mechanical systems have included equipment to cool the water.

It's only warm enough to get in a pool three months out of the year here.

That tyre DougRNS gave me says minimum PSI is 110. That's pretty hardcore. 90-100 is what I roll at.

I ran those at 85F and 95R and you are much lighter than me. You'll be fine under 100. I also would get 4,000 miles of tread life.

True. The neighbors tend to complain a lot more when you do it in their pool.

Thats nothing compared to my complaints when they do it in mine! ;)

And pool parties? OMG! Nothing like having a bunch of bikinis in your backyard. I rented (shared) a house with a pool in the 70s. Good times and the last thing we thought about was exercise.

Big John is dreaming about the distant past!

Id like nothing less than a bunch of 60 and 70 year olds in bikinis in my pool.

They better have these at Safeway. BRB.

Peanut butter isn't a good filling in anything.

Mojo31 07-30-21 05:51 PM

Peanut butter is a good filling in just about everything.

Maybe not Tilapia.

When I said the 70s I meant the 1970s!

Cut approximately 1.17 lawns in 32 minutes of furious activity in 94 degree heat. I'll be cutting 4 days in a row to get the lawns back to the appropriate height. What have I done with this battery-powered boondoggle? SMFH.

Or, with proper equipment, you could have it done in 75 minutes.

I used to like Double Stuff when I was a youth with a sweet tooth, but there's just no appeal to me, any more.

...but Thins. Yeah, I don't know why, but I like the Thins a lot more.

LesterOfPuppets 07-30-21 06:17 PM

I hope we get these again this fall. Mmmm...

This would explain why we probably have different ideas about swimming pool use. There's maybe 3 months out of the year when it's NOT warm enough to get in a pool here.

There are always exceptions.
