The Official Vintage Bicycle Manufacturer Catalog List w/Links

The purpose of this is to be a reference for both new and old members, as well as internet lurkers/researchers that need information or who may become future members. The initial scope is to be makes of complete bicycles, not component manufacturers.

This list will be ever growing and changing, and I welcome and appreciate your contributions!

I truly want this to be a helpful and central source for all of us, even as there are a number of places on the web that do have catalogs listed--they're just not listed here. I will input my saved list of links and dig for some more, but know that this will require input from many of you who have knowledge and interest in companies that I don't (or am not aware of). The sources for these will be far and wide. Some sources will have multiple companies' catalogs. It will be a work in progress, so please be patient.

A huge thank you for current and former BF members, as well as all the others that have posted and hosted scanned catalogs over the years. This list could not have been made without you!

GENERAL LISTINGS / INDEXES OF COMPANIES THAT I AM UNABLE TO INDIVIDUALLY LINK TO

Retrobike.uk has many catalogs, but directly linking from BikeForums brings up a warning page, but not when I access it normally via my browser. ( Manufacturer Archive Page 6 | Gallery & Archive | Retrobike will get you to it)
Velobase is ever the resource (http, thus 'not secure', so you'll have to search for "Velobase catalog scans" to access it), and as a number of us know, they have many bicycle and component manufacturers' catalogs. Some are links to PDFs, others are .zip files to download.
Three Speed Hub, although not singularly dedicated to bicycles or companies that build bicycles with such gearing, is another source of catalogs etc (and of the quite vintage kind). Five pages worth, or you can choose a decade to narrow things down a bit.
Equusbicycle has a grid's worth of catalogs, but I can't seem to get the images to load. Perhaps you'll fare better.
Another members-only resource is the Veteran-Cycle Club Online Library, which in addition to being a catalog and literature source, is also another cycling community that one can engage with.

UPDATE 4/20/21: This second post will be dedicated to listing, via post number (in this thread), catalog scan contributions by BF members. Where there are missing years via hosting or just in general, in the first post, these subsequent scans will be posted with the bicycle company and year of catalog in the post's title or in bold at the post body. Look to the Rene Herse scans or JaccoW's Koga-Miyata scans as great examples of what to aim for and submit. Thank you all for your submissions!

UPDATE 12/27/22: As you have likely seen, the number of words/characters as sections get further filled out, continues to exceed the maximum allowable count, thus a number of sections from above have now been moved to this second post. All the links in the order that you've seen them remain.

Thanks! I'm working through websites that have links or lists of everything. It takes a lot of time, which is why I haven't gotten to the end of the alphabet yet! Haha

Yup, just got through the entire list there! Will be looking at other sites that have other catalogs as well.

RiddleOfSteel 01-16-21 05:48 PM

Remember, I am looking for LINKS and not necessarily companies. I have or will have listed many, but some may not have a link to a past catalog (or catalogs). If you don't see a company on here AND you have a link to their catalog(s), then please post.

Thank you!

Thank you for the heads up. @jamesdak your retrobike link (also the same source address for my "Specialized 1") shows the warning as well. Bummer. :/ I will provide a search engine result as a link for Spec. 1 (or just make it Spec 2 with a small explanation for now). Let me know how it works.

I thought about that, and it's a good idea (and one I'd like to get to), but for now, I need to focus on building the list out. After that, I can get more granular.

For the catalogs on bulgier.net that don't have dates, the date is unknown. If anyone sees one of my catalogs and knows the date FOR SURE, let me know and I'll add it. I'd rather have no date than be wrong though.

Also if you see a date and think it's wrong, please do let me know!

?? I didn't see any warning for either.....

I checked the old links I had for old Orbea Catalogs but it doesn't seem to be working now. I'll dig into the archives to see if I can find something that works.

When I access the site off the search engine, it's totally fine. I think it's a BikeForums issue and not an "our personal computers" issue, but that's just a guess.

Also if you see a date and think it's wrong, please do let me know!

What about a range? Down to a decade? Your Atala catalog could be anything from 1900-1990. Sort of close is better than nothing.

Bianchi could be 1880-2020.
