Like hitting a VDOT sign going 22-25 mph……….

If it gets sketch I can always pull into the pit and say nope not for me. I’m not too proud for that.

Making it to the pit road might be the problem.

This was a 58, so basically my size. It was interesting to actually work on and ride one - I've never known how these things fit. This worked out to be a pretty standard 58ctc seat tube and 57 top tube.

But yeah, it's loads of drop. Not too bad on the aerobars.

Related, I test rode it and shifting when on the aerobars is apparently learned skill that I don't have :twitchy:

Lol. I was scrolling though photos on my google drive and came across this gem from last year -

This is why I can't go riding in casual shorts. :roflmao2:

Can have a three stage tan - white, beige, tan.

I only have heavy gloves or my summer fingerless gloves. Race was originally 40 mins long and now it’s 30. Originally I didn’t care about trying to place, but now I really want to win. Or podium, I just don’t want to kill myself doing it, and I have no strategy at all, other than try and get into the front pack early and if a group breaks away stay with them, I don’t plan on chasing a single person making a breakway attempt.

I'd lower your expectations. For a first race I'd aim for not crashing, and not getting pulled. Anything above DFL is a bonus.

The year before last, I was rotating among socks with 2" and 4" cuffs until I noticed a Neapolitan ice cream tan starting to develop. I went to exclusively 4" after that.

Always get a kick out of golfers who have a tan/white line across their foreheads.

What do you use?

Just the regular Shimano 11-speed quick links that come in the box or sourced at the lbs.

I just came from a saltwater fly fishing haven. I was seeing cross face tan lines on occasion. Hadn't seen it before. Another thing I hadn't seen before is fisherman camo.

We are still finding stuff that has been damaged from the freeze of 2021. We've already replaced the main pool pump and the flow valves initially. Then a few months later we had to replace the booster pump for the cleaner since it leaked. Now, we have to replace the filter because it is leaking from the bottom due to freeze damage. When will it end???

It rained a little here last night and sprinkled a bit this morning. That might be it for the season.
My regular group ride friends are out of town so I have to decide what to do. Might do a club ride, but which one? So bad with decisions.

New Air Conditioning Day!!!!!!:bday:

That's a nice, high zoot Dura Ace Di2 level project!

We replaced two of those in the last year. Likely looking at #3 this summer. Unfortunately, the last one to replace is the largest and the one that cools all of our first floor living space. :(
