Why would you say 57? I don't think that anyone has referenced ST since semi/compact frames became the standard. As such, I'd say 59 or 60.

Living in the past? I still think of frame size as distance of ST from BB center to top.

Plus, I do know that real frame size is measured by stack and reach anyway

Horizontal top tube or GTFO

Tomorrow is our last full day in LA. We are meeting our daughter for the afternoon. I have to decide whether to sleep in tomorrow or ride up Mt Baldy, which is allegedly 9.2 miles at an average 7.8%. Tough choice….

This. Also, mostly over 58 you don't get TT = ST anymore. For example, my Bianchi is a 61, but it has a 58.5cm (virtual) TT. I generally ride 58s, but the 928 was a 'race' frame that year, so the 58 would have put the bars too low. A 61 with sloping TT and everything fits - with a zero setback seatpost.

I'm pretty happy I wasn't riding a horizontal TT bike when my pedal spindle broke, so the jewels weren't stuffed back into my abdomen, where they hadn't been since I was a wee lad.

That ginormous HT, plus what looks to be a 0 rise stem, and about 3-4cm of spacers makes it look really tall. What do you normally ride?

The Habanero is a 62 but with a 57 TT. It should really be a 64 but that would give such a long head tube that fork selection would be limited.

Actually if you start at the bottom of GMR it's about 25 miles to the Village, add 4 if you go to the ski lift area.

This says 22.7 with 4664 feet. Add 2000 feet to the top and add 1400 for the return trip.

Probably gonna pass on any new Tears for Fears. Hearing that song multiple times a day for 3 or 4 years was pretty traumatic! :)

Currently grooving on Living Under Drones' latest (digital release only at the moment unfortunately)

Formed in early ‘80s, and hit it big in the early ‘90s.

Hey phrantic09 - what tires are you running on the Zipps? Did you put the Pro Ones on them?

My bikes have head tubes of 220 and 230 mm. This allows me to run an uncut steer tube without a silly amount of spacers. Most steer tubes are 300 mm. I want the stem near the top of the steer tube due to my decrepit back and neck. A friend who runs similar frames said we should start a club called "Big Heads".

Baldy road? Did that once. Didn't like it going up or down. GMR/GRR is fun, scenic, and I think it's closed to cars. Plus, less driving.

Learned something about my madone this morning, while reading another thread. I knew there was a reason I came to this site.

Why anyone needs to fly from Memphis this early in the morning, I will never understand.

S-Works Turbo Rapid Air. They’re okay- fast, not super supple.

Actually think I may put something bigger on like the Challenge Strade Bianca in a 33 or even a 35 to see if any speed is really lost

No, I don't know how to do that "game" stuff without companion running and since it wasn't a group ride, I don't bother. I dial it up to 400 watts to catch him on the climb though.

Ride, always the correct answer.
