Bah humbug. Finally got the seat on this afternoon. Thanks again!!! Initial ride it was noticeably more comfortable. I’ll go on longer ride tomorrow morning to see what my arse thinks.

Really dumb question. Is there a trick to changing the seat angle? Right now I have it where I think I want it, but I may need to adjust tomorrow. I loosened both bolts on the seat climb but it doesn’t allow me to change the angle, it only lets me slide the seat forward and aft.

Cervelo's seatpost toppers are dumb. You have to loosen the back, then you can loosen or tighten the front, then when you retighten the back the saddle will be at a different angle. It's dumb and bad. I should just replace the seatpost on mine.

Is it the soil? Or do you enhance with chemical agents?

You just need to loosen it a little more - the rail clamp has a semi-circular bottom that fits in to a mating cradle at the top of the seat post. If you take it all the way apart, it'll be pretty apparent. The easy way would be to loosen the end that you want higher, give it a good wiggle 'til it budges, and then tighten the opposite bolt.

Haven't had okra this not summer.

Noticed some chainring runout on the trainer last night, and took a look at it before I was going to go ride today. Gave the crank arms a wiggle and felt a bit of play.

Just an old cheap worn out cartridge BB.

The interim replacement cup and cone is a little pitted but it's all I've got for now in a close enough length. Haven't adjusted one of those in a while, and I was never very good with them even when I messed around with them a lot more.

You do know that the soil in the three "I" states is agriculturally very good? Growing grass is not much of a challenge as long as we have rain.

We've had 10-13" of rain the last two weeks. I mowed Saturday and again yesterday and it would have choked my mower by tomorrow.

sums up the experience I have been having. Was hoping it would be easier.

I had a lot of crit bikes and most of them would beat you to death but the Colorado was stiff on an obnoxious level. Beautiful bike, though. It was pearl metal flake white with a Campy Record group, tubular rims and tires.

I am not an expert in grass-growing soils.

However, if you had 20 days of 92F highs, with less than an inch of rain (see post #14713), your grass wouldn't be growing great, either.

On the two bolt clamp tighten the front bolt relative to the back bolt, to nose down. For more nose up, tighten the back bolt relative to the front bolt.
