I donít miss Di2 much at all when riding the Aspero.

In the hotel, slept like garbage, lukewarm coffee. So of course did much better.

Man I even miss Di2 on the trainer, even though there's no way I'd spring for it there. What I really need for it is an Ekar cassette body. Front shifts are not fun on the trainer.

Trsnrtr 05-14-22 04:39 AM

Besides being old and weak, I have small hands, think wide with short fingers. I rode our tandem a couple weeks ago and could hardly shift the mechanical front triple. After a few years of Di2 and eTap on four bikes, I don't want to go back to cables.

I'm so lazy that I plug in a remote top shifter for the rear on the trainer.

Two momentary power outages this morning. Either the hotel is dumb or Texas is dumb.

The enablers fuel the want. 😁

It still hurts. Luckily I didn't get duped into a subprime home loan :)

I hedged that bet with some Ford stock, so it worked out okay.

All down hill from here.

bampilot06 05-14-22 07:50 AM

Is there a proper way to doing intervals? Yesterday I did 30x30. Target power was 400 watts. At the start of each interval I would stand for prolly the first 10 seconds to get going and to dial in 400 watts pretty quickly. Is that normal practice? or should I dial it up staying seated since itís not sprint practice.

Or am I over thinking it like I over think everything.

Really, what I might do is drop it off at the shop when I'm in BDR for two weeks and have them swap it to a 46x11-34 setup. That gets nearly the same range as I have now (more or less missing one gear on each end) and larger gaps overall but mostly the same in the middle where I spend most of my time. And much cheaper than anything else.

I use cables and they work just fine.
