Now I have Steppenwolf's song Ballcrusher going through my head.

I think brakes would be a nice addition without adding too much complexity.

Gravity Bike. Has front brakes... and likely some lead shot in the frame to bring it up to 23kg. Usually they have some knee rests as well as the rear sets. Would go very, very very fast down hills.

That was a pretty slow run, we go faster on our kids bikes!

I remember people building similar bikes by flipping a BMX frame upside down.

I wonder if a heavier rider would have an advantage.

Have to chuckle a bit... pretty sure I have met and exceeded speeds like that on a regular diamond frame bike, just coming down mountain roads.

No special wide tires, no long low frame, and no full face helmet. And all the time hoping not to meet that wayward rock in the road.

So agree! I got up to 37mph on my Ogre a couple days ago coming down through some twisties, and it was white-knuckles all the way.

From a local buy/sell/trade advertisement.

I have no idea how this, this thing steers.

It looks as though no expense was a spared in the construction of the front seat.

Thing is, on the same hill the gravity bike would get up to 60+ mph. The record is 78mph. Even my kids bike has hit 50mph and that has a 12" front wheel. It's all about frontal area, air resistance is the killer.

A steering rod connected to the front wheel. Or where you just talking about the audacity of it's design?
