Also the headquarters of Purdue. The year I rode the century there was a large contingency of Purdue employees riding in matching kits. They looked exactly like their packaged products in the meat aisle.. not sure if they had “words” afterwards. :roflmao2:

I think a serious eater/fattener should be going here.

So, in the current situation, I do bookkeeping at the shop on Friday mornings before we open. This was in a work stand.

Full Campy Record 8 speed, including Delta brakes and Vento wheelset.

Turkey burgers and Ranch Style beans here. Fresh pineapple for first dessert, then cheesecake later for second dessert.

Beans of an unknown variety, cooked in the pressure cooker. Pineapple/mango for dessert. Cheesecake does not exist here. Flan is a pretty good substitute though.

A proper flan is divine.

There was a Golden Corral in Rock Springs, and during the week approaching a dinner date we had there I had memories of my childhood visits to one. They all involved chocolate pudding. I must've overindulged a time or two. Before that 2016ish visit I hadn't been to one since approx 1978.

There's a Domenic's bike shop here in the Valley, Est. 1979. Wonder if they had some frames done up...

LesterOfPuppets 05-01-20 08:29 PM

I think that's it. They had "Team Strada" (as seen on the chainstay) BITD, then by 2013 they'd changed the team name to "Strada Racing."

Yup. I did a little research. Seems to be a shop-branded Tommasini.

So did they end up getting some derailleur cables? Or are they still just 39 x 12 singlespeeding the hard way? :)

Seems to be. Not pictured; "D" headtube badge and engraved "D" in the fastback seatstays.

New cables and housing, for sure. I didn't read the work order.

As far as elevation goes, I've said before, you can't swing a dead cat with a 1000' of elevation gain.

I dunno if there's a Harlem River Drive IRL, but the tune has a really nice groove to it!

Doesn’t look like you’re on Mrs. datlas’s foie gras program datlas! You’re supposed to be turning the shortcake into fat, not ride it off...

A few years ago, I spent the night worshiping the porcelain alter after eating at one earlier that day. I haven’t eaten at one since. I’m not saying that I got sick by eating there, but...

kissTheApex 05-02-20 06:56 AM

Does anyone know how long each stage of acquisition according to the Ferengi should last?

It seems like I’ve been stuck in infatuation far too long. If I had a guideline, at least I would know. There’s still the justification, appropriation, obsession and resale that I have to go thru you know?

There is a Harlem River Drive, which borders the Harlem River. It feeds into the more infamous FDR drive which borders the East River which actually feeds from Long Island Sound, not the Harlem River.

BillyD 05-02-20 07:21 AM

As a noob, visitor or tourist, you do NOT want to drive on the FDR drive.

Ditto.

Although since I'm forced to sit around, unable to do much with this hernia & isolation, I've noticed my quads starting to shrivel like an old man. :crash:

I may have to get on my bike and find some modest hills to rebuild. :(

I hate Boston too, but for different reasons than the traffic. It pains me greatly that my grandson and parents live there.
