eai toyo godzilla
hey to all,
first post here! been riding fixed gear for a while now, but always with pretty cheap bikes. i recently moved to the uk , where nice things could be easily found, contrary to my home country, so i bought a Cinelli Gazzetta for a bargain. i love my bike and dont get me wrong im content but everyone speaks marvels about de eai toyo godzilla or the bareknuckle so i kind of want the "best thing" would you guys think the upgrade is worth it ? im looking for a 52 by the way and travel to the states for work once a month so if anyone knows of someone selling one or where to get one lmk! |
Both of these frames have an outstanding reputation and plenty of street/track cred. They are expensive, so maybe not worth it if you're happy with your Gazetta.
Production ended on both some time ago. Good used examples sometimes come up for sale in the Pedalroom Marketplace. Retrogression, now located in Portland, Oregon, has some Godzillas in stock, but none smaller than 54cm. They stocked the Bareknuckle but are now completely sold out. If you want the best, one of these frames might be just the ticket, however there are other frames that might be just as good for your purposes. There's the Big Block by All City. I haven't owned or even ridden one, but I've examined a few, and they're super nice. Wabi Cycles makes several models of steel SS/FG frames. I have no experience at all with them, but everyone I've ever heard from who owns one has nothing but good to say about it. |
I already have the perfect single speed bike but if I were to buy another it would be a Godzilla.

If you want something really classy and money is no object, then get yourself one of these >>> https://www.retro-gression.com/colle...eset-51cm-pink

The downside is how much money you’ll have to spend to get the NJS stamp on every component for it. I mean, whether or not you want those parts, that’s the law. 😆 |
thanks for all the components. i think im going to go for the bareknuckle or godilla. just have to wait i guess. they are either incredible or jsut sitting around in ppls homes.
funny part is i already bought most of the components just waiting in my drawer thikning i was going to get it soon. sugino 75, chris king headset , fixation gates slim pedals, some nitto drops. would be needing a bb, wheelset and stem, |
I see that you’ve posted a WTB at Pedalroom (as have a few other guys). That might be your best chance at finding one.
Good luck! |
