Starting a bike club llc?

Has anyone started a bike/social club? Our group keeps getting bigger and wondering about liability protection insurance etc

Specifically if you register as an llc or non profit

A good starting point is the League of American Bicyclists.

They have some resources for clubs, including insurance.

Another popular insurance provider is Silent Sports Insurance. I used their policy to cover our commercial bike tours and bike rentals.

Thx, that’s a good start

You'll need back patches and denim vests, and guns, lots of guns.

Just curious but why would you want to create a club just because there are a lot of people who show up for rides? When you start going down that path then you will have to deal with liability etc. Why not just leave it alone and then it’s on the individual.

Now I want to start a 1%er road bike club.

we are already a club for the most part, we were seven to ten riders pre covid and now we are 70. People sign waivers but the main reason to incorporate is liability and to have a bank account. I’m wondering if other clubs set up as an llc or non profit or what.

And meth, both for selling and for those multi-day cross country runs.
