34-spot.

20.1 "spot!" :p and about 1,000 gain. It was chilly and cloudy but I refuse to go backward and so wore shorts.
Edited to add: So while others were complaining about 90F and similar humidity, I had to zip up my wind shirt to ward off the chill! I guess I will accept that except when it happens in July. |

But in the interim between dousings. 15.5 and 700 feet with a view of low tide and a number of bumps on a log. And then also in the interim and showing some of us have other lives (although getting up there was a stretch and a half!) between today's and Monday's rides was this. Getting out into rsbob neighborhood. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...b462c32581.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...7d1cec724a.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...70fa7ba577.jpg |

65 miles, 40°F....

Been off the bike since Wednesday morning’s 47 miler, and now I got the COVID!
I’m double vaxed (Moderna) and 1 booster but I’ve been sick with something since waking up with a sore throat before Wednesday morning ride, by Wednesday night it was worse than a normal cold, it was in my chest instead of my nose, so I had my wife buy a test kit at CVS yesterday and it showed positive! That tropical storm rained out Friday and today anyway so I didn’t miss much, hopefully e able to ride tomorrow morning. |

I got out early to beat the projected rain. Roads were still damp from the overnight liquid moonshine. 15.6 and 700 feet. Home in less than an hour and a half. Oh, 65F. |

60 miles, 5,300 feet. I was cursing the last couple rollers at the top!

Flat day, but hammered most of the ride. 56 miles, only 800 feet of elevation. 20 plus miles were gravel, the rest road miles around the South Bay Area.

This afternoon roads 64 miles. The second half was slow. Head wind most of the way. We have short hills and wind here is Eastern Va.
https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...61dcee146.jpeg Tomorrow 10 to 20 mph winds. I’ll just work. |
Recovered from COVID so I figured I’d better get my ass back on the bike this morning, did 47 miles, felt good, no coughing!

quick flat 18.5 at lunch. it was very windy - could have gotten some downwind PRs for sure but was feeling pretty low energy.
|
32 miles, 3,000 feet of elevation. Up Old La Honda Road, back down through Windy Hill Preserve and then rode over to Arastradero Preserve and did a loop on each side of the road to get more dirt on my tires and then back home. Felt strong and got a pr on the OLH road climb.
