Thanks MoAlpha and LAJ Got it fixed, It was under too much tension like you both said. Put it on the smallest cog backed out the barrel adjuster hit the shifter a few times re tightened and then slowly backed it back out.

Any advice to prevent this?

Helicopter tape/frame protection tape. There's a lot out there, tons on Amazon, but the Lizard Skins stuff was what was available to me, locally/immediately.

Do I put it on the cable or the frame?

Frame. I have some in the same spot on the front of the HT. I usually put a strip on the DS chainstay, too, 'cause I tend to pedal heel-in.

Now my coffee tastes like vindication.

One of the better flavors out there

The phone is steadily losing features. I can no longer turn on the flashlight with the double chop. And this morning I suddenly have no notifications. Both are turned on. I have been perusing new phone options.

I have some of the tape. Do you mind posting a picture of how yours looks with the tape?

Fun question of the day.
I was making adjustments to the front derailer following park tool instructions, and when I got to the part where you shift to put the chain on the inner most chain ring and inner most cog I realized that the shifting stops on the cog before the last one. My shifter has no more clicks, so it seems that my chain is not in sync with my RD?? I feel like this should be an easy fix but I think I am over thinking it. Any suggestions?

My Trek does this as well, but for me it's got to have something to do with how close the derailleur hanger is to the smallest cog. The RD just can't move over far enough to the right, even with the limit screw all the way out. I've just lived with it, 9/10 is good enough for me, I've never missed the 12T.

It's clear - the edge is visible only if you look closely -

Maybe the pit bull part adds something...

well the maybe-myasthenic husky was supposedly too aggressive to handle normally. But at the time of examination too neuromuscularly weak to bite. so he was wannabe belligerent.

Otherwise all my patients were sweetie pies yesterday except that one of the pit bulls did attack and kill the owners cat several years ago. (!). She is never sketchy around humans though.

Back in the late 70s, it was said that you shouldn't be sad, 'cause two out of three ain't bad.

Nine out of ten? Now, that's progress for ya.

Oof. It would be really difficult for me to carry on with a pet that had killed another pet (cats targeting small birds/rodents notwithstanding).

Do their Strava activities count towards the leader board?

Didn't think so.

Good point.

More importantly, aren't there more productive things she enjoys doing, or is vetting a potential life partner her only interest? :foo:

Zoom in to the head tube right above the drop.

My brother's golden retriever went after his baby. That didn't last long.

Weird the bike came with some rubber type tape that I didn’t see any purpose for. It’s not clear though.

They probably smell better than humans too.

Unacceptable, they shouldn't be lumped together. Rodents are a pest whereas birds, other than pigeons and canadian geese, are not.

This kind will bend in all planes to conform to compound curves and is very easy to apply and remove. Available from the vendor who must not be mentioned.

Mine didn't come with any tape - I picked up that clear stuff at REI or an LBS.

Why Canada Geese are still protected is beyond me. Must be some treaty with Canada or something, prolly related to all the Mericans with "kittens". Ironic, really.
