47 Miles, the entire road looked like an unkept shoulder. Debris for miles.

rudypyatt 03-26-23 08:05 PM

Got 25 miles in today, rode out to the Rockaway Peninsula. Need to start building mileage to get ready for the Five Boro Bike Tour in May.

rsbob 03-26-23 11:39 PM

40 and change with a destroyed rear tire 1/10th of a mile from home. The goal was 3000’ climbing but had to quit 120 feet short.

45-spot. nice day in the upper 60's/low low 70's.

rsbob 03-30-23 09:25 PM

64 miles with 4500’ climbing over the last two days. One fastest and one second fastest for age group on two segments.

Troul 04-01-23 02:35 PM

28 miles.

jaxgtr 04-01-23 02:41 PM

I did not feel like dealing with 15-20 mph hot winds out of the SW, so it was an indoor Rouvy ride. I chose poorly. 28 miles, 4300 ft of altitude gain. The last 10 miles was where I did all of that climbing. That was the longest continual climb I have done. I must conclude..... not a fan..

The winds were about the same mph, but temps were initially 48F, & rapidly dropping... Was going to roll longer, but then the front light went ded. Not many uses with the light & I'm hoping it wasn't connected on the charger securely. The light is needed to spot those potholes in the dark.

Bummer. Yea, I use a light on every ride, night or day.

Rainy and windy in the real, so super saturated day on the hamster wheel.

Enjoy the group emblazoned across your helmet. Don’t fear the reaper… :D

Interesting wind sock???

30 miles with 25 MPH tail and then headwind. The 15 miles back was brutal - had me slowed to 12.5 MPH at one time - but 25 going out felt pretty good. :D Non-humble brag: the tail wind gave me a fastest over 6 miles for my age group 65-70😲 and 6th fastest for all men. I’ll take it anyway I can get it.https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...84cf92500.jpeg

I see someone was enjoying the wind more than others...

41 miles. 23°F Was a nice quiet ride & managed to avoid all slick spots that froze over from the plentiful rainfall that dropped yesterday.

Eat your hearts out LA and San Diego and Tucson people! Today we have a pleasant 39* and rain - perfect picnic weather.

Imaginos 04-02-23 03:14 PM

Ten pleasant miles today and the fourth week in a row with over fifty miles.

Troul 04-08-23 02:50 PM

41 miles, slightly warmer! 32°F

So it was suppose to rain by 2 today and I needed to do yard work as it is suppose to be raining all week, so I did 4 hrs or yard work in upper 80's humid temps. Took a shower, got some food, started to watch the women's Paris-Roubaix, looked at the radar, noticed the rain was going to be a while. Got in 83 and made it home without getting rained on. Whoohoo. Oh and a cop was going to give me a ticket for doing 22 in a 15 mph zone. I asked if he was serious, told him I would challenge it, and while I might lose, he would look stupid in the eyes on the court. Told me to have a nice day.

Paul Barnard 04-08-23 08:10 PM

30 miles. I took a time to soak in a little beauty.

wonder if that same cop would ticket someone riding without using both hands with a careless citation?

Probably. This little area I was riding has a few renta cops on power trips. This is the second time this has happened to me in that general area. Been a while since it happened the first time though.

Adamdavidaudio 04-09-23 06:23 AM

I rode a mile yesterday! May not stack up compared to what some of you are doing, but that’s the first bike riding I’ve done in about ten years so I’m calling it a good start to a good summer!

Troul 04-09-23 09:06 AM

Hopped on the bicycle for an Easter ride; 107 miles. Temps were slow to rise, but 39°F isn't technically "freezing" & there weren't any slick spots.

jaxgtr 04-09-23 10:26 AM

Light cold rain here, so 45 miles indoors while I have a 10 pound pork butt on the smoker.

808HIcycler 04-09-23 12:36 PM

35 miles for the first ride with our group of the yar.
