Looking into getting a new groupset for the Habanero for next year. It might be nuts, but I am leaning towards Campy Chorus.
Thoughts?? |
Blah....I want to go ride tonight, but everything seems boring, beyond my current fitness level, or just too damned hot. Motivation level: Low.

Oh, and here's some tire usage that'll make the frugal among us proud. I noticed this when waiting around for the boys to show up last night -
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...262e15bb07.jpg I had inspected my tires last week and thought that I had some good miles left, so this snuck up on me. I'm actually kind of glad that I didn't see this before leaving home - I would have been tempted to stay home. Instead, I just tried to be a little more conservative with rear brake and not hop too many curbs or do anything else dumb. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...a3c24b8ac5.jpg |

Thoughts?? It's not the prettiest crankset, but I don't look at it often. https://www.campagnolo.com/media/imm...t-groupset.png |

Got invited by a la firm we use to watch the Phillies-Reds game in the firm's box next Friday. Tempting. Don't have to RSVP until Monday.

Got the Cervelo back! :bday:
I had cleaned it before I took it to the shop, but I think they detailed it. Looks new bike clean, so that’s super cool of them. Looks like they added a spacer between crank arm and bb, that wasn’t there before. Not a big spacer, but def wasn’t there. Just wonder if I will notice. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...6c5b2b7b5.jpeg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...0b0b7c527.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...fa3fa6110.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...c0be49e45.jpeg |
In other tyre news, I just put fresh meats on the boat trailer. I should probably repack the bearings too, but maybe I'll wait 'til a wheel starts smoking.

Is that a problem?
. I don’t know? |
Speaking of tires, my Tuesday tubeless flat that sealed itself was still looking good yesterday so I topped off the sealant and pumped it up. Still had 80 PSI this AM, so I rode it on our metric today. Guess I'll keep running it until it gets the same tread disease as the tire that wifi had.

anybody have a 100/110 mm stem 6 degree drop?
I have a ritchey 120 mm I can trade if interested. With my stem slammed all the way down the 120mm feels a little too long. Want to try a shorter one before I have the steerer tube cut. |

I installed the new tire this evening. It went on the rim easily, as had the previous. Just for gits and shiggles, though, I decided to try seating it with just the floor pump, something that I've never done. After the first couple of strokes, I didn't think it was going to happen, but then I noticed the tire filling out a bit more with each pump, despite all of the hissing. The encouraged me to pump a bit manically. The tire kept hissing, but also kept filling out until both sides finally snapped in to place at the same time - sweet!
