He is! He's racing 50+, so we got to race together a few times because our fields are mixed. He's doing well.

i frequently thought about catching and overtaking Big John in post count, since we were so close. That stress is now off the table. The nasty run-ins I had with some over the years. Gone. If the mods keep a list of troublemakers, I get a fresh start. Seedsbelize is/was assuredly on that list. I'm sure there are other advantages.

Who's he racing for? Stradalli "got robbed" twice and closed their Boulder store.

We started seeing a big fox in our backyard and then Dusty the Merciless was gone.

Speaking of dogs, Mrs. GeneJockey's best friend's Mom just died, and BFF is off to AZ for the funeral - which isn't till Friday, apparently - and we are taking care of her dogs. One's not much problem, a little poodle mix about the size of Dory (12#), but the other is a DIFFERENT poodle mix of about 40-50#. He's a real sweetheart, BUT he has some neurodegenerative condition that has made his leg muscles so weak he totters around, can't do stairs AT ALL, and really can't manage a tile or hardwood floor. As a result, he has to be carried up or down the 3 steps to the yard when he wants in or out.
SO, Mrs. GeneJockey slept in the garage (which doubles as a guest bedroom) with Dory and the two visiting dogs, since the garage is at ground level and Ollie could just walk out to the side yard. But we could already tell this morning that if everyone else is up in the living area, Ollie wouldn't be happy waiting in the garage. So we gotta figure out something else... |
I have an appointment this afternoon to go check out/acquire that 1985 Centurion Ironman I wasn't going to buy.
Y'all should feel free to make fun of me. This makes NINE. |

Retina scans show no improvement since last month. This makes 12 or 13 injections, so far. Try one more injection next month and reevaluate.
Anyway, hurts like I have a rock in my eye and burns more than the Avastin does. Dark room for the rest of the day… |

All of our cats have been kept indoors, 'cause I don't need em killing little critters and I don't want em getting killed by bigger critters (or autos). |

I feel like I'm finally getting back to the fitness level that I had last year, and I'd like to stay a little more on top of it through the winter this year. Not that I've felt bad this year, but... well, better is better. |
RIP Norm Macdonald.

Don't know how you can do that. I don't like anything near my eyes. I'm an ophthalmologist's worst patient.

There is a ride called the “Savage Century” in a few weeks. It’s 7500 feet of climbing, which is not that much imo but probably as hilly as it gets around here. My friends want me to sign up. Hmm….
