Trying to do a long ride on an recumbent exercise bike is impossible.

I positioned the seat so that I had a very slight bend when my leg was farthest away, but I kept sliding down the whole time I was on it.

All of the details it provided were wrong. I was doing the interval option which I guess simulates climbing a mountain and then descending. On the descents my cadence felt normal but the machine showed 120-130 and on the climbs it felt really slow it showed 99.

Dont get me started on the watts.

Will give it a go again tomorrow, but I cannot wait to get home.

I don't have the legs for single speed gravel. At least, not with the terrain we have around here.

IIRC the owner of that bike lives in the vicinity of the Katy trail in MO.

I don't take my fixed gear many places here.

Soft opening of the shop's second location today, including a group ride.

Going to try it out, the route is on much more familiar and less trafficked roads, so maybe it won't be as stressful.

No group ride this morning, a tiny little rain shower developed directly over us so nobody showed. Still had a nice short ride with my coworker.

JSU Band is very large and known for its high standards.

What about Kennesaw's band?

This is the team that beat FSU?

West Coast OT alert.

The Savage Century was fun, but indeed a tough ride. I am glad I swapped my 12–25 for the 11-28 as I did need the 28 on some of the tougher climbs. Some of the descents were a bit choppy/unnerving but otherwise a fine ride.

Holding call that enabled the OT was BS.

Are you sure? With all those corporate headquarters there's bound to be some quality office parks.

Actually, it is. I once did a 75 mile charity ride entirely in Delaware. Smyrna to Dewey Beach. And while most of the state is pretty flat, there are some nasty hills in places.

I know some local guys that SS gravel. Local cyclocross races run single speed categories. And I know at least one guy that mountain bikes on a single speed.
